The Manager in this role will be part of the team responsible for financial planning, reporting, and results analysis activities for Technology Operations and Development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning process for Technology, including the creation of the LRP, annual plan, and rolling outlook.

  • Assist with results analysis process for Technology, including comparisons to forecast and prior year.

  • Assist in the analysis and creation of reporting in support of planning / results processes and in response to ad-hoc requests from Business, LFO, Controllership, Tax, and CP&A.

  • Drive improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of DSCOE processes.

  • Enhance analytical approach to improve accuracy of forecast and insight provided by results analysis.

  • Proactively monitor changes to the internal and external environment, linking them to financial impacts.

  • Build, maintain, and leverage excellent relationships with key Finance and Business colleagues.

  • Support cross-DSCOE projects as needed.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in the Financial Services industry

  • Expertise in planning and forecasting methodologies

  • Process optimization experience and understanding of optimization methodology

  • Strong working proficiency of MS Office, including Advanced Excel, Access, Powerpoint required

  • Understanding/working knowledge in Oracle, TM1, Oracle Smartview, HFR and OBI may be required or preferred based on specific role

It all begins with you. Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services. The FACS Finance Manager role directs the complex and diverse accountabilities of the FACS Finance team within the Cross-Enterprise Finance Applications Support & Strategy organization. The Financial Accounting Control System (FACS) is an Enterprise Finance application providing centralized instrument-level balances and transactions from wholesale trading, loan and deposit systems of record (SOR). In addition to SOR data, FACS provides key functionality relevant to the complex needs of its users, including a daily P&L adjustment interface and the position-level calculation of cost of funds for traded securities. FACS is utilized by Business Finance, Controllers, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, and other internal partners to fulfill reporting and control requirements of management, front office, and regulators. FACS' instrument-level balances are substantiated daily to the books and records of each SOR's sub-ledger in addition to Wells Fargo's GL activity. The leader will drive application strategy and execution for these critical Product Control functions: * Daily trading profit and loss reporting * Balance sheet substantiation * Trade level substantiation and profit and loss attribution * Front to back office controls * Volcker reporting asset turnover calculations and attestation controls * Ad-hoc and miscellaneous managerial reporting across all trading businesses * Matched maturity funds transfer pricing methodology for Wells Fargo Securities traded products, including product level rate assignment and cross line of business internalization The manager will also partner with DMI leadership to support a multi-year strategic roadmap for data sourcing and provisioning. Expectations derived from this roadmap will include: * Develop plan to identify and transition core data accountabilities to DMI * Implement tactical data sourcing and provisioning deliverables within FACS * Ensure required reporting and control processes are maintained * Integrate data as a functional consumer As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business.
