We're the Decision Support Center of Excellence (DSCOE) in the Corporate Planning function within Global Finance. Our mission is unique transform and optimize the way financial processes work across American Express business units globally. The Manager in this role will be part of the team responsible for financial planning, reporting, and results analysis activities for Technology Operations and Development.
Assist in planning process for Technology, including the creation of the LRP, annual plan, and rolling outlook.
Assist with results analysis process for Technology, including comparisons to forecast and prior year.
Assist in the analysis and creation of reporting in support of planning / results processes and in response to ad-hoc requests from Business, LFO, Controllership, Tax, and CP&A.
Drive improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of DSCOE processes.
Enhance analytical approach to improve accuracy of forecast and insight provided by results analysis.
Proactively monitor changes to the internal and external environment, linking them to financial impacts.
Build, maintain, and leverage excellent relationships with key Finance and Business colleagues.
Support cross-DSCOE projects as needed.
4 years of experience in the Financial Services industry
Expertise in planning and forecasting methodologies
Process optimization experience and understanding of optimization methodology
Strong working proficiency of MS Office, including Advanced Excel, Access, Powerpoint required
Understanding/working knowledge in Oracle, TM1, Oracle Smartview, HFR and OBI may be required or preferred based on specific role
