Job Title: Manager, Family and Supporter Experience

Job Summary
The manager of family and supporter experience is the primary contact and advocate for the families and supporters of Lindenwood students. They are charged with developing a culture of success in students' extracurricular lives and facilitating training, programming, and communication channels for those outside of the University supporting their students' success.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

Job Responsibilities and Execution
Serves as the primary contact, advisor, and advocate for all students' families and supporters
Makes referrals to essential offices, services, and leaders for families and supporters
Collaborates with key stakeholders to provide timely training and information to the families and supporters of students
Develops and facilitates programming and community building for student families and supporters
Manages the continuing student components of the CampusESP system
Coordinates with First Year Programs, Admissions, and Campus Events to engage families and supporters in University programming, such as Orientation, Move-In, and Family Day
Organizes family and support development for the Linden-First Bridge Scholars program
Provides recommendations to University leadership on improvements related to student families and supporters
Gathers and shares data related to family and supporter engagement and student persistence of engaged families
Explains FERPA regulations to parents and supporters and helps students navigate the Buckley Waiver process in partnership with Academic Services
Liaises with Public Relations and University Ombudsperson to address and resolve complaints arising from student families and supporters
Service Excellence
Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University's values
Ensures parents and supporters receive excellent support and follow-up
Anticipates the needs of families and supporters and provide just-in-time support before it becomes necessary
Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration
Communicates regularly with key University partners, such as Admissions, Student Affairs, Advising, Student Financial Services, and Marketing
Leads the University in communication and initiatives related to family and supporters
Works both independently and collaboratively on initiatives
Shares family and supporter feedback and data with key University stakeholders
Abides by FERPA guidelines and regulations
Job may require other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of higher education experience
Master's degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Excels at explaining complex policy in a simple, approachable way
Strong administrative skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and their families and supporters
