InterDigital is looking for a Manager of Facility Services to lead facility and real estate strategies for the company. This will involve a level oversight and direction of day to day operations broadly as well as strategic real estate planning and project management of real estate initiatives. This position will partner closely with the Director of Facility and Administrative Services. The ideal candidate will have a well-balanced approach between hands-on contribution, management of procured services and be experienced in project management and strategy setting.

Job Responsibilities

Real Estate

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and pro-active real estate strategy for the global real estate portfolio, partnering closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to align the real estate strategy with the business strategy.

  • Manage and maintain the portfolio of leases as well as tracking and managing lease and expense costs

  • Lead real estate projects for new office establishment as well as office moves

  • Working with stakeholders and real estate brokers to identify requirements and shortlist suitable locations

  • Project Management of contractors, architects and other vendors to ensure construction and build out are delivered on time and in budget

  • Co-ordinate move of employees to new office and close out of old office

  • Define and monitor real estate benchmarks for offices, costs, occupancy

  • Develop and maintain relationship with building landlords; resolve issues and concerns between the parties when needed

Facilities Operations

  • Provide day to day management and oversight of facilities staff, vendors/contractors

  • Maintain regular interaction with Administrative and Support resources at our offices globally to ensure an understanding of current and proposed activities and issues are being solutioned with the right level of attention and detail.

  • Office layout/planning

  • Security systems, badges, alarms and security camera

  • Define hybrid personnel support model of internal dedicated, internal shared and external resources

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, industry, government and building codes

  • Oversee and direct ongoing building maintenance including management of personnel and vendors engaged in equipment installation, repair and preventative maintenance such as HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, safety and security systems

  • Conduct RFP (Request for Proposals) or RFI (Request for Information) on services and products to support office services and find ways to reduce spend

  • Functions as the liaison between the Company and Building management, public utility, environmental and energy agencies

  • Development, analysis and accurate reporting and forecasting of budgets

  • Employee may occasional be required to life items up to 50 pounds

  • Up to 25% local travel and 10% regional and international travel may be required

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years' experience including 7 years of leadership experience with at least 5 years of direct supervisory and management experience

  • Prior enterprise responsibility for corporate office facilities/real estate function

  • Experience with corporate office design, construction, and/or maintenance and a track record of managing successful capital improvement projects

  • Experience leading real estate projects (site selection, new build outs, office moves)

  • Strong Project Management Skills

  • Global experience desired

  • Demonstrated ability to work with flexibility, efficiency and diplomacy both individually and as part of a team effort

  • Ability to develop, analyze, and interpret project and operational budgets and requests for funding proposals
