Overview and Qualifications

Mission Health located in Asheville, NC is accepting applications for a Manager - Plant Operations to join the Mission Hospital team!

Job Summary:
Planning and managing the supervision of the daily maintenance and operation of the physical plant. Strong knowledge of HVAC, chillers, boilers, building automation system, utilities, building mechanical and electrical systems, computerized maintenance management system and budget management.

Required Education: Bachelor of Science degree or a combination of education, CHFM and related experience

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science or higher.

Preferred License: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), trade related license

Required Experience: 5 or more years of progressive Healthcare Facility Management experience.

Preferred Experience: 10 or more years of progressive Facility Management experience in a complex environment with a minimum of 3 years in healthcare

Location / Division Specific Information: This position will be in Asheville, NC and support Laboratory Equipment Division manufacturing operations worldwide. The portfolio includes products from the Controlled Temperature Technologies, Growth, Protection & Separation, and the Water & Lab Products business units. How will you make an impact? You will lead advanced manufacturing projects to rationalize the global manufacturing footprint to make the right products in the right place to minimize lead time, inventory, and manufacturing cost. Though these projects you will uplift the manufacturing technology to drive world class quality, yield, and throughput and provide required capacity for new product launch. You will work though the site leadership and project teams to arrive at consensus and drive the best possible outcomes; building relationships with stakeholders including business, finance, R&D, sourcing, and operations leadership. What will you do? * Develops, proposes, leads, and manages implementation plans for capacity build out and process technology uplifts. * Write capital bid packages, prepare budgets, and manages project plans * Lead technical / operations product line transfers between internal and external manufacturing sites * Lead operational readiness for lab equipment New Product Development factory readiness worldwide by either participating on or coordinating with cross functional program core teams. * Manage investigations of process and equipment related deviations, identifies root cause as part of a cross-functional team, and drives to sustainable implementation * Provides support to manufacturing for complex problems and issues not limited to but including process, equipment, materials, and measurements * Supports and/or executes continuous improvement projects that increase compliance, simplify/standardize, gain efficiencies, or minimize variation How will you get here?
