Trilogy in Summerlin: Outlook Club

Nestled in the foothills and ridges on the western rim of the Las Vegas valley - adjacent to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and close to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip - sits the master-planned community of Summerlin, home to Trilogy and Outlook Club. The Club is outfitted with a commercial kitchen, as well as venues for fitness, relaxation, socializing, and more.

Where: 20 minutes west of Las Vegas, in Summerlin, Nevada

Pay: $55,000 - $60,000 Annual

Benefits:

New management full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following the first day of full-time employment.

Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off ("PTO") in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.

Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.

All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Facilities Maintenance Manager oversees all Building Maintenance and Housekeeping Staff, coordinating with the Club General Manager. This position reports to the Club General Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support the achievement of company goals.

  • Organize and direct the functions of the Building Maintenance and Housekeeping Staff.

  • Provide courteous and rapid service to members and guests.

  • Maintain open lines of communication, with weekly report to the Club General Manager.

  • Provide superior quality standards for building maintenance and housekeeping service to meet the requirements of members and guests.

  • Establish and manage purchase order programs, department checkbooks, contribution reports, and budgets.

  • Oversee and assist department managers in all building maintenance and housekeeping projects, including painting, general cleaning and upkeep, HVAC systems, pool equipment, landscape maintenance, and irrigation.

  • Maintain building inventories and supplies.

  • Collaborate with management to create and monitor the annual budget to ensure expenses are within budgetary limits and the established financial goals.

  • Support employee hiring, training, and employee review and development.

  • Understand association rules, regulations, and safety practices to assure compliance; encourage employees to work in a safe manner, use all personal protective equipment (safety gear) assigned, and report unsafe conditions or accidents to a supervisor.

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • One to three years' leadership experience in a related field, with two years supervisory experience preferred.

  • Previous experience working in a Homeowners Association preferred.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

  • Current First Aid or other safety certifications, as required by the Club.

  • Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) certification, if required by the facility.

  • Computer literate with experience with Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge of IMPAK facility management software is a plus.

  • Knowledge of painting, HVAC systems, pool equipment, and landscape maintenance and irrigation repairs required.

  • Ability to read building drawings and blueprints.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Must possess basic computational ability as well as budgetary analysis.

  • Must have planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, communication, time management, supervisory and employee development skills.

  • Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members, guests, and the community association.

  • Must demonstrate initiative with an ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.

  • Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.

  • This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, and regularly changing hours for shifts. Overtime may be possible during the busy season.

  • Valid driver's license is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position operates in both an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to weather conditions, and occasionally native wildlife, when outdoors on the facility grounds. There is routine use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can vary depending on the equipment or machines used.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see and hear, speak clearly and understand the speech of another person, sit, stand and walk (occasionally for an extended period), use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees are required to wear all assigned personal protective equipment.
