Partner with Operations and Engineering management to deliver controlled, predictable and reliable day-to-day facilities and equipment operation and building systems in support of existing and new manufacturing requirements. Coordinate all facilities and maintenance activity within the organization and manage internal and external personnel and vendors. Responsible for all facilities project management, repairs, the day-to-day facilities and building systems maintenance, overseeing routine janitorial, repairs, preventative maintenance, capital equipment installation, negotiations of contracts and leases within annual budget.


  • Maintain building site(s) in accordance with relevant regulations and safety codes.

  • Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, alteration and maintenance of buildings and equipment.

  • Plans, schedules, and executes facilities maintenance management initiatives, including preventive maintenance and repair, equipment installation projects, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and all on-site construction initiatives

  • Responsible for analyzing and competent administration of job bids to include development of scope and specifications, selection of service provider, negotiation of agreements, and administration of equipment installation, facility improvement and repair projects.

  • Manage external engineering contractors in developing and executing designs, layouts and detailed drawings.

  • Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction. Reviews cost estimates for building renovations or space allocations; Evaluates completed work and checks for conformance to specifications.

  • Manage suppliers and outside contractors related to the installation, repair and maintenance of the facility and equipment, optimizing for cost and performance.

  • Manage the internal facilities team; track, prioritize and finish projects in a timely manner through daily delegation. Lead and mentor the individuals to ensure a high performing team is maintained.

  • Perform hands-on work as appropriate, excluding actions requiring a licensed contractor.

  • Manage department budgets.

  • Coordinates building security system alarm issues with security company and local law enforcement.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment and light industrial factory with chemistry common in the processing of Flexible Printed Circuit boards. The following are potential items encountered: fumes, dust, noise, hazardous/toxic chemicals. Appropriate training and personal protection equipment is provided and documented that complies with OSHA and EPA regulations.

  • Possess strong leadership skills to provide guidance and mentorship to subordinates

  • Experience supporting microfabrication process equipment facility requirements, installation and qualification

  • Direct experience with cleanroom design and operations preferred (thermal, humidity and particle controls)

  • Excellent personal computing skills, particularly Microsoft Office

  • Thorough ability to read and interpret requirements/specification documentation from a wide variety of technical sources

  • Experience working with outside vendors and contractors

  • 5+ years of experience with building management and/or maintenance

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC system and applications.

  • Working knowledge of custodial operations and building/infrastructure systems maintenance.

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.

  • Certified in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is preferred.


Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience


Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
