ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non-rotating 40 hour work week, Monday
Thursday Friday, 7:00 a.m.
6:00 p.m. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.
Responsibilities
Operates brush truck in working as part of a crew collecting brush and bulky items along designated routes throughout the City. Performs pre-and-post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, making minor repairs and adjustments, reporting major problems requiring Mechanic attention.
Completes daily trip reports. Provides traffic control by setting up signs and cones and flagging in high-traffic areas. Uses rakes, shovels, and other tools to manually load trucks and clean up debris from sidewalks and other public areas, and transports to landfill for disposal.
Interacts courteously with customer inquiries/problems at collection sites. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position requires High-School diploma or GED with minimum of 2 years of experience. A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered.
A valid Class B CDL driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
