Job Summary

Thisposition is part of the Corporate Controller's organization, based in Davidson,North Carolina, and reports directly to the Director, External Reporting and

Technical Accounting. The Manager, ExternalReporting and Technical Accounting serves a critical role and will havesignificant interface with our corporate functions, business unit leaders aswell as our external auditors. This position is primarily responsible for thepreparation of financial filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC). In addition, this individual will establish and maintain accountingpolicies and procedures relating to a wide variety of accounting topics as wellas determine the accounting treatment on complex accounting issues andtransactions.

Responsibilities:

The individual is responsible for, butnot limited to, the following:

  • Preparation and review of our annual report onForm 10-K, quarterly reports on Form 10-Q, current reports on Form 8-K and anyother financial filings as required by the SEC

  • Work with external auditors to addressaccounting issues and assist the review and audit of all our SEC filings

  • Research complex accounting transactions andprepare position papers on conclusions

  • Support our strategic business units to resolveaccounting issues as they arise

  • Provide guidance on and assist with keepingcurrent on all IR internal financial policies

  • Remain current and proactive on new accountingand reporting guidance affecting the company, informing management of potentialimpacts of accounting developments from standard setters as they emerge

  • Assist in the review of quarterly earningsreleases and support earnings release process

  • Drive ongoing process improvement between

Financial Reporting department and the External Reporting/Technical Accountingdepartment

  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of two directreports

In addition, the individual will be akey contributor in the following:

  • Impairment testing of goodwill and indefinitelived intangible assets

  • Purchase accounting for acquisitions, includingdetermination and allocation of purchase price

  • Accounting and reporting for divestitures

  • Managing and reviewing the Company'srestructuring programs

The overall objective of this job is to monitorand ensure that the company's financial statements, disclosures and policiesare in accordance with GAAP, while proactively understanding the effect offuture pronouncements on the strategic business units and enterprise as awhole.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years working as a TechnicalAccountant and/or SEC reporting

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), required

  • Experience with SEC rules and US GAAP, required

  • Experience working in a Big 4 firm or Fortune1000 company, preferred

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, withexcellent verbal and written communication skills

JOB SUMMARY Create strategies and implementation plans for marketing CBG brands on Lowe's digital properties, including their websites, apps and social media platforms. Work closely within Channel Marketing and Sales to understand business goals and, in turn, partner closely with Lowe's to influence the development and publishing of compelling digital content on Lowe's properties to help meet those goals. Collaborate closely with Brand and Product Marketing teams to ensure the content and strategies developed for Lowe's digital properties effectively and accurately showcase unique brand and product benefits. Lead efforts with Integrated Marketing Communications to develop targeted, consumer-relevant and on-brand creative content for Lowe's digital properties that utilizes best-practice and best-in-class technology for superior user experiences. Manage outside suppliers, as needed, to facilitate the development and successful implementation of digital tools and tactics, on time and within budget. Partner with Lowe's to establish and maintain effective analytics, including monitoring and measuring CBG-specific initiatives and reporting back to the business.
