Due to growth, we are adding this Manager, Experiential Learning Program to our Clinical Services department.

The Manager, Experiential Learning Program is responsible for the success of Lumicera's clinical experiential learning programs including but not limited to advanced practice pharmacy experience rotations and clinical internships with a supporting role in PGY1 residency programs. This position will build upon existing relationships and form new relationships with Schools of Pharmacy and will serve as Lumicera's main point of contact for pharmacy school experiential education programs. The Manager, Experiential Learning Program will report to the Director of Clinical Services and will be responsible for oversight of students and PGY1 residents participating in Lumicera's experiential learning program. This position will collaborate with cross-functional departments to support training, project coordination, preceptor development, and program growth. The Manager, Experiential Learning Program will support day to day clinical operations on a flexible basis to ensure exceptional patient care.

How do I make an impact on my team?

  • Foster a program culture of learning, development, professionalism, quality, respect, and desire to make excellent patient care at the forefront of all we do.

  • Represent Lumicera at professional career fairs and perform recruiting, interviewing and hiring for experiential learning positions. Network with key stakeholders at Schools of Pharmacy, Residency Programs and other Specialty Pharmacies with experiential programs.

  • Create opportunities to present and/or teach at various institutions to advocate for Specialty Pharmacy and the experiential program offerings at Lumicera.

  • Schedule and monitor day-to-day workflow and provide flexibility in support of adequate staffing levels. Manage and adjust workflow to optimize operations efficiency.

  • Practice as a specialty pharmacist in clinical operations to maintain understanding of operational processes, support experiential program participants and support demands of the organization.

  • Develop program participant's skills, evaluate performance and provide feedback. Oversee resolution of employee relations.

  • Track and monitor program participant's compliance to quality, service and production standards.

  • Assist Residency Program Director (RPD) with the Lumicera PGY1 Specialty Pharmacy Residency Program and the Specialty Pharmacy rotation of the Navitus PGY1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency Program as the PGY1 Residency Coordinator. This includes resident supervision and direction, preceptor support, PharmAcademic support, ASHP accreditation documentation, and program promotion.

  • Coordinate and oversee experiential learning projects in support of Lumicera's current goals and initiatives across Lumicera and its pharmacy partners locations, as applicable.

  • Create and maintain training manuals, learning modules, and course materials in support of Lumicera's experiential learning programs.

What our team expects from you?

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm D.

  • Current resident Pharmacist license with current, unrestricted license; must continually maintain education credits to maintain active licensure

  • Minimum two years clinical experience or completion of a clinical pharmacy practice residency required

  • Specialty pharmacy experience required

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to effectively develop and assist team members required; Teaching and/or Precepting experience preferred

  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives

  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
