The Marketing Center of Excellence (MCOE) at Aramark is charged with building strong brands and driving profitable growth. Through repeatable business models that leverage insights and innovation, team members within the Marketing COE help build base business, new business, and client retention through strategies, concepts, programs and practices that engage consumers "at the moment of truth" where we serve over 2 billion meals each year at workplaces, schools, colleges and universities, hospitals, sports and entertainment venues and other locations around the country and the world.

The Environmental Design & Visual Merchandising Manager position is being created to guide the brand teams to enhance the effectiveness of our branded concepts and programs adding expertise in space planning, food display, flow, and cohesiveness to overall brand experience. Position Overview

  • Strategy & Insights:

  • Assist in strategic development of compelling visual merchandising and seasonal kits that reflect the brand image and increase sales and traffic

  • Serve as a visual subject matter expert with a broad but detailed knowledge of food service environments and operational needs

  • Manage the development of all VM strategy calendars in alignment with marcom editorial calendars

  • Research and apply knowledge of competitive landscape and trends in visual merchandising, retailing, and food presentation, etc. and share with organization

  • Development & Execution:

  • Develop training guides and tools for brands/programs for ease of execution of visual merchandising strategy

  • Create case study templates and library to showcase environmental installations for use in marketing and sales presentations

  • Design and source all seasonal merchandising and interior theme support elements

  • Partner closely with brand management and marcom teams on inspiration to develop and execute on-brand visual design solutions that are aligned with the brand vision and on-going marketing activities

  • Project Management:

  • Manage vendor relationships with smallwares providers to source front & back of house merchandising products to build Aramark library

  • Collaborate with marcom team to enhance environmental delivery of in-store communications with alignment to editorial calendar and seasonal change

  • Work as a strategic partner with cross-functional teams, including brand management, innovation, marcom, marketing ops, product development, supply chain, operations, business units, etc. to develop, launch, assess and continuously improve the execution of visual merchandising promotions

  • Maintain and track visual budget

  • Measurement:

  • Establish a merchandising standards checklist to evaluate a unit's performance as a way to suggest strategies for

  • Assist and capture measurement data to validate program goals with insights team

Reporting Relationships

This position will report directly to the Director, Environmental Design & Visual Merchandising within the Marketing COE.

Qualifications:

Experience/Education

  • 3+ years in creative development, visual merchandising, and project management experience

  • Multi-unit retail, restaurant and/or upscale grocery experience highly desirable

  • Food Service experience a plus

  • Bachelor's degree required

Strategic

  • Strategy and program development experience

  • Platform development and/or leadership of foodservice/retail merchandising solutions

  • Ability to understand broader company and project/program goals/strategies & prioritize/manage projects accordingly

  • Experienced in use of insights to support solution development

  • Financial acumen - can understand, develop and deliver ROI for key projects

Creative

  • Demonstrated experience in creative development and implementation of design and visual merchandising solutions

  • Able to show examples of work in a scaled environment

Project Management

  • Strong project management skills and production orientation

  • Ability to lead initiatives across business units and flex ideas/concepts appropriately depending business needs

  • Able to work with and influence a broad range of people with diverse backgrounds and expertise across functional areas

  • Persistence/perseverance/patience to deal with ambiguity associated with working in uncharted territory

  • Resourceful/able to juggle multiple tasks

Communications and Style

  • Strong written and presentation skills in range of formats; hands on development of professional quality presentations, project management communications and program support materials for diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment on multiple projects and scalable solutions.

  • Quick studyadaptable/learns on-the-go to support projects/programs across functional areas.

Self-starter, confident in abilities, self-motivated and able to work independently/effectively in team environment.

The Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP) is responsible for bringing Amtrak station components into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The ADASP implements and preforms design and construction of infrastructure improvements to provide accessibly to Amtrak's intercity rail transportation system. Responsibilities * Serves as the owner's representative for Amtrak with external entities such as design consultants (Designer of Record-DOR) Host Railroads, General Contractors, State Historic Preservation Offices and Local Authorities. Must be flexible and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. * Provides design guidance to the Designer of Record and enforces Amtrak standards with a focus on ADA compliance. * Provides design guidance and oversight to General Contractor during Construction Phase Services (CPS) * Coordinate with internal Amtrak departments such as Passenger Operations, Engineering, Legal, Real Estate and Government Affairs. * Coordinate with external stakeholders to include the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and Third-Party Entities to include municipal authorities and private property owners. * Ability to prepare reports and presentations, edit specifications, review change orders and shop drawings. * Perform ADA site assessments at Amtrak Stations. * Prepare scope documents and concept drawings. * Ability to travel periodically to Amtrak stations nationwide. #BIA * Bachelor's in Architecture is required * Licensed Registered Architect is required * At least 8 years of architectural experience is required * Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite. * Demonstrated design and organizational skills with interest in renovation, transportation and historic preservation. * Must be experienced with the International Building Code, ANSI A117.1 and ADA Guidelines DOTAS 2006. * Willing to travel around 25% of time At Jacobs, we help prepare people for new opportunities and challenges.
