Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Sustainability, the Energy and Building Performance Manager is a new position at the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC). This position offers the opportunity to help drive developments in electrification, renewable energy, and sustainability commitments that engage MAC, airport tenants, state and federal government, and utilities. Using a mix of leadership skills and direct project work, this position will have direct and significant impact on advancing progress towards the MAC's sustainability goal to reduce Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) total GHG by 80% from a 2014/15 baseline by 2030 while maintaining MAC's high standard of service and reliability to its passengers and partners.
This new position is a key leader within the MAC Sustainability Department. The Sustainability Department leads the development, implementation, monitoring and measurement of a comprehensive sustainability program that integrates and aligns sustainability with the MAC.
The Energy and Building Performance Manager position will require strong technical, project management, and interpersonal skills to be successful in the complex and unique airport ecosystem. The position will collaborate closely with numerous MAC Departments, tenants, consultants, and utilities to identify and implement new solutions advancing sustainability.
