DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

AutoNation, the nation's largest and most admired Dealership group, is in an exciting phase of innovation and growth. We are looking for a highly detail-oriented analyst to join our expanding Parts team! The Parts Team, part of the After-Sales Operations unit, maintains a focus on maximizing automotive parts sales and parts profits. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in programs for data analysis (Excel, Access, Sequel, Power BI) and a strong analytics background.

The role includes Parts sales and business analysis for automotive parts and accessories to ensure AutoNation's parts are competitively positioned in various marketplaces. This individual will interact with AutoNation's product & category managers, marketplace managers, procurement department, marketing department, dealership associates, field leadership, and other internal business stakeholders to help execute sales strategies for all aftermarket parts and accessories.

Ongoing they will assist with communications between AutoNation's various departments, generate reports and/or administer dashboards detailing KPI's which measure the performance of each product and sales channel. Additionally, this role will aid and support our Product Management, Customer Service, E-Commerce, and Sourcing Teams. This position reports to the Director of PrecisionParts and is an onsite / hybrid position with offices in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect data from sales reports for analysis and create sales evaluation reports based on collected data.

  • Monitor and analyze sales data against targets, previous sales trends, competitors, and online marketplaces and report data to dynamically enhance pricing.

  • Develop methods and strategies for assessing large amounts of data.

  • Provide actionable insights to guide the sales and marketing teams.

  • Use sales prediction software to determine future trends.

  • Contribute to the development of sales plans and objectives.

  • Provide support to Parts Team, Category, and Product Managers, and the Parts eCommerce Marketplace Manager to determine target acquisition costs, resale value and profitability.

  • Conduct research into competitive companies and the surrounding market.

  • Study shopping and purchase trends of consumer base and target demographic.

  • Meet with and report to stakeholders and decision-makers daily, weekly, and/or monthly on performance and/or issues.

  • Identify new or increased areas of opportunity.

  • Assist with IT planning in relation to automation for pricing, cataloging, sales, and product merchandising initiatives.

  • Identify marketing strategies to increase profits.

  • Establish sales opportunities, working with the sales and marketing teams to develop ideas for seasonal sales opportunities.

  • Develop measurement tools to identify changing market trends.

  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (MANDATORY):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, or Marketing/Sales and minimum 5-years' experience in Pricing and / or Sales Analysis

  • Proven experience in managing e-commerce campaigns, including planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing strategies across various channels.

  • Demonstrated ability to increase conversion rates through targeted strategies, data analysis, and user experience enhancements.

  • Expertise in growing unpaid traffic channels such as organic search, social media, and content marketing to drive sustained growth.

  • Proficiency in conducting A/B testing and other split testing methods to improve user engagement and maximize campaign effectiveness.

  • Solid understanding and practical experience with Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising, including keyword research, bid management, and performance analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices to enhance website visibility and improve search engine rankings.

  • Experience in developing and implementing a retail calendar and merchandising strategy to optimize product placement, promotions, and sales cycles.

  • Able to independently research, understand, and present sales and profitability metrics

  • Expertise in MS Excel, Power Point, Access/SQL

  • Advanced proficiency in relational DB's (SQL within Access)

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, graphs, etc.)

  • Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics

  • Basic familiarity with product management

  • Basic familiarity with marketing and online sales channels

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong data analysis skills

  • Ability to think critically and take appropriate actions as needed

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving atmosphere

QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED):

  • Master's / PhD in Business, Analytics, or Marketing/Sales and 10 years' experience in Sales strategy

  • Experience with Automotive Parts

  • Experience with Tableau

  • Experience with MS Power BI

  • Experience in competitive parts pricing strategies including B2B and e-commerce

  • P&L expertise
