The Digital Testing, Analytics & Optimization Manager is a digital optimization expert for the L Brands Enterprise Analytics Department and skilled in digital analytics. This person will champion the advancement of our testing and optimization capabilities by working closely with our brand partners, and would be instrumental in evolution of our optimization capabilities to support greater personalization efforts run by our MAST Global Digital partners.
This is a leadership role within our digital analytics and optimization team that will lead digital testing and optimization efforts for our enterprise. In addition, this person would manage or work hands-on on digital analytics projects, as a part of broader digital analytics team, to provide customer insights to our brand and digital platform partners.
The individual must be able to manage and lead testing and analytical projects with self-sufficiency in a fast-paced business environment. The individual will query, summarize and interpret the customer purchase history, demographic data, web analytics, click stream, and marketing data, etc. to answer business questions critical to executing programs and driving long term brand strategy. This role requires top level, polished communication to not only deliver data, but answer the business problem and give the data/analysis context.
This is an excellent opportunity for a digital analytics specialist with A/B testing experience and strong communication and technical skills to take their career to next level. Experience with A/B testing tools such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, Maxymiser or custom A/B testing setup is required, as well as ability to query databases using SQL. Experience in one or more of the following statistical languages Python, R or SAS, is highly desired.
Champion our testing and optimization program starting with A/B & Multivariate testing and experience optimization
Serve as a subject matter expert on design of experiments including test structure, sequencing, definition of primary and secondary success metrics, and experiment duration calculations
Work across business units and functions to help them define their testing & learning agendas for ongoing functional, creative, experience, media, and/or offer testing
Develop trusted advisor relationships with business unit, digital, user experience, and technology leadership
Evaluate our current tooling capabilities, identify areas of opportunity, and, in partnership with digital and technology teams, make informed recommendations to enhance our current and/or 3rd party optimization technologies
Read, document, and communicate results and recommendations of all initiatives and A/B tests to stakeholders and senior leaders on a regular cadence
In addition to testing projects, manage or work hands-on on digital analytics projects, as a key member of digital analytics and optimization team, to provide customer insights for brand and digital partners.
Utilize digital analytics tools and query relational and non-relational databases using SQL to develop customer and digital insights. Leverage more advanced tools such as Python/R/SAS for more in-depth/exploratory analyses.
Manage/Mentor junior team members through training, project support, and career advice
BS, MS, or MBA in relevant quantitative studies
4-8+ years in digital analytics and/or testing and optimization role, preferably in leadership role
Expertise in test design and proven experience in helping non-analytical professionals successfully craft sound test designs
Experience managing direct reports in a cross-functional environment. Management of resources abroad is a plus.
Demonstrated passion for digital analytics and digital optimization
Established expertise with retail, digital analytics, digital marketing, data mining, and relational database concepts
Experience working on a large, matrixed, digital team with on-shore and off-shore resources (preferred)
Exhibited strong communication and data-driven story telling skills, including explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences
Mastery of one or more of web analytics tools - IBM Digital Analytics (Coremetrics), Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics
Mastery of one or more of leading testing tools Adobe Target, Maxymiser, Monetate, Optimizely
Experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL, SAS (preferred), Python (preferred), and/or R
Understanding of common retail systems and applications desired
Experience leveraging tag management solutions (Tealium, Adobe DTM, Ensighten,etc.) to deploy optimization tools
Experience with Tableau, Looker, and other BI visualization tools (preferred).
