About the Role

The Williams-Sonoma brand Marketing team is seeking a Manager of Digital Marketing to develop, evaluate, and execute online marketing plans for the Williams-Sonoma and Williams-Sonoma Home brands. This person will manage all aspects of digital marketing across channels for a variety of programs, including Registry and Retail, and provide analysis and strategies for improving the online performance of each. This person will interact regularly with merchants and vendors, team members, the Williams-Sonoma brand creative team, and cross-channel representatives as needed.

  • Manage, optimize and report on KPI's (e.g. sales, customer growth) for all digital marketing programs across all device types

  • Support Sr. Manager in the oversight of the online marketing budget, make recommendations for reallocation and/or investment based on individual program performance and brand goals

  • Develop a deep understanding of the brand's identity including product, editorial and marketing initiatives in order to develop digital strategies that meet both financial and brand-building goals

  • Collaborate with Sr. Manager and digital subject matter experts (SME's) on overall investment strategy with a keen focus on innovation and personalization

  • Develop annual and 3YR business goals and investment strategies with Sr. Manager and broader eCommerce teams

  • Work alongside SME's to identify new partnerships as well as opportunities for optimizing existing partnerships where appropriate based on brand strategies and initiatives

  • Conduct measurement and analysis on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing digital programs, applying insights to the evaluation of new opportunities

  • Be attuned to the competitive marketplace to ensure best-in-class programs and execution

  • Present analysis and recommendations to senior management, for example, weekly sales results and campaign strategy

  • Collaborate with key brand stakeholders to manage creative development process for all digital assets, for both new programs and refreshes of existing ones

  • Manage vendor funded digital programs

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field; MBA a plus

  • 4+ years experience in online marketing, retail marketing, or digital media planning

  • A Proven track record in managing and optimizing a budget to ROI goals

  • Analytical, proactive, problem-solving skills with an insatiable curiosity

  • The ability to see trends and to extract actionable insights from data to drive results

  • Experience with a web analytics system preferred

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables), and strong communication and presentation skills
