Overview of Position

The Manager, Digital Marketing will be responsible for omni-channel digital marketing, online and offline customer experience, email campaigns, and advertising plans targeting new clients. This role will also develop, plan, and gather creative marketing content required for best-in-class digital marketing activations and reactivations in support of our corporate goals.

Email distributions and campaigns tasks include developing, reviewing and proofing copy for brand consistency, A/B testing, improving CTAs conversion, reducing bounce rates, creating and managing the database for audience segmentations/lists, utilizing data extensions, analyzing campaigns, and designing around customer journeys.

Digital performance marketing tasks include leveraging the brand and company program/products to drive Client acquisition and loyalty, partnering with internal teams and external partners on national advertising campaigns for awareness and conversion, commercializing public relations and content strategies, influencer marketing and traditional marketing initiatives (such as mailing, podcasting, partnership marketing, trade conferencing, etc.).

This position will lead the ownership of digital journey mapping, email campaigns, managing content alignment for trigger, recognition and event related emails - including content automations as needed. This position will work collaboratively within and across teams to execute successfully.

A strong digital marketing portfolio (pdf or website) showcasing successful strategies, revenue-driven results and project achievements based on data insights is required for consideration.

II. Job Responsibilities

  • Partnering with cross-functional team members to redefine Client journeys (web and email included) while mapping out email strategies and developing assets to acquire, retain and engage audiences throughout their life cycle. Analyzes program analytics for continuous improvement.

  • Supports the growth of email campaigns. Partnering with new and established Markets to ensure a clear branded experience -- and trains self or others, when needed. Offering assistance and oversight to help streamline the review process and utilize global brand standards for email marketing.

  • Works closely with Digital Product Squads, as well as business analysts, IT and third-party vendors on various website development, email automation/drip projects as needed. Includes testing, alongside QA Teams for improvements, changes, or updates to current direct to consumer facing platforms.

  • Leads content creation and execution for all campaign requests across strategies, while instituting design thinking and conducting user research through interviews and surveys to understand user needs and pain points. Building clear SOP's for email campaigns and strategy across segments, programs, plans, offers, and markets.

  • Establishing a close relationship with social media team to ensure proper brand awareness and content strategy such as leveraging emails into our social space. Keeping current with emerging email technologies though relevant events, blogs, subscriptions, and continuing education efforts. Provides suggestions on areas of improvement and offer suggestions for new technologies to explore. Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, followed by Marketo and HubSpot.

  • Develop and execute annual digital marketing plans in partnership with marketing leaders, driving goal setting, timelines, and tactics required to deliver on company and brand business objectives. Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Basecamp, or others.

  • Work with 3rd party partners (e.g. Google, social platforms Facebook, Twitter (X), Salesforce, etc.) to identify growth and enhancement opportunities.

  • Create and execute compelling, impactful marketing tactics including traditional, digital, and media buys that drive awareness, consideration, leads, conversion and loyalty among key audiences especially in support of corporate acquisition and retention goals. This includes driving accountability for performance of digital agencies (creative and media) and consultants to solve for challenges, meet goals, and report on insights.

  • Manage related tasks such as budgets, invoicing, contracts, and other needs.

III. Scope

The Manager, Digital Marketing will oversee the day-to-day development, organization and deployment of highly personalized media buys and email campaigns to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and cutting-edge distributions targeting our key audiences to meet and achieve the annual strategic vision and goals.

Responsible for creating and managing content, timelines, graphics and branding for front-end development, advertising creatives, email campaigns, as well as content management of OPTAVIA digital tools. Gathering content from variable stakeholders such as Marketing, Branding, CCX Events, Recognition, Digital Products, Business Programs, Training and Support, and others to build a cohesive SalesForce Marketing Cloud communications platform. This role always supports peak seasons with executing and reviewing an assorted variety of digital content from a myriad of Teams all while measuring data results and achieving acquisition/retention goals.

Partnering with cross functional teams to help evaluate or work with new service providers, for special projects. This role will work towards building on digital marketing initiatives including A/B testing, improved conversion, web analytics, segmented journeys, email campaigns, first-party data, media optimization, and search engine optimization. The role will be naturally involved in website management projects and tasks.

This position will manage a Digital Marketing Specialist.

IV. Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, and/or Graphic/Web Design OR equivalent job experience.

  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing management, content creation, media buying, experience design and/or production for digital performance marketing, high traffic email campaigns, and large volume paid media.

  • 1-3 years managerial experience.

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Tableau, etc.) or other top-tier email platforms (Marketo and HubSpot). Including A/B testing, global campaigns and use of data for targeted sends.

  • Experience working with content management systems, i.e. Configio, KnowledgeOwl, Hybris, and Qualtrics.

  • Familiar with email marketing best practice and platform is preferred, Exigo experience is a plus.

  • Minimal knowledge of graphic and web design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and other digital and web related software.

  • Knowledge of proper communication techniques for email marketing.

  • Expertise in best-practices for advertising channels, industry standards, and corporate benchmarks/metrics while working through Marketing Technologies: Search/Social/OOH//Programmatic/Trade/Traditional SOPs, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, Sprinklr, Google Tag Management, Trade Desk, etc.

  • Advanced skills in Copywriting Experience for both Website Management and Email Campaigns.

  • Hands on knowledge of SEM/SEO, Data Enrichment and CRM software.

  • Demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues.

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Organized, detail orientated, dependable with a great attitude.

  • Ability to work in a fast pace and deadline driven team environment.
