JOB SUMMARY
This role will be accountable for ensuring the success of a program that involves a group of related projects, subprograms, and program activities. This role will also be accountable for building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, vendors, and other departments to help collectively further BSWH's strategic initiatives. There will be a heavy emphasis on problem solving capabilities (e.g. gather market research on best practice, identify root cause behind issues, link with industry leaders to validate assumptions, right-to-left thinking). They are also expected to mentor and directly manage Product Owners, new managers and other project resources to aid in professional development and perform HR duties where appropriate. This role will be routinely expected to run multiple squads under different programs producing different products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Manages multiple programs in the Digital Health Portfolio (product management as dictated by business needs)
Accountable for management, development and overall mentorship of managers and management consultants (MC's) assigned to squads
Provide constructive feedback to managers and MC's as needed; assist managers and MC with project escalations and problem solving as needed
Drives long term planning and strategic product vision creation for product improvements and strategies, with oversight from VP as needed
Establishes product budget and tracks to ensure budget is on track and aligned with strategic goals
Knowledge of interdependencies of healthcare landscape and its influence on portfolio
Owns assorted departmental responsibilities as assigned (ie contract management, staffing/resourcing, demand management, budgeting etc.
Conducts all human resources related activities, inclusive of interviews, supervision, performance evaluations, development, coaching, feedback, reward and recognition, scheduling, leaves, policy and procedure admin, etc.
Partners with and runs client teams towards the identification of problems/opportunities from a Digital Innovation perspective
Establishes a process for team-based structuring and defining of problem
Closely maintains a pulse on digital disruption / innovation in healthcare
Establishes external relationships with other thought leaders in Digital Health
Provides advice or suggestions for improvements that meet customer and digital health goals
Presents and explains findings to leadership team and team members
Utilizes both traditional and modern assessment tools, such as interviews, surveys, and evaluations to arrive at hypothesis and conclusions
Knows the stakeholders, internal environment, processes, and technology stack of Baylor Scott & White Health
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Previous experience managing multiple programs in the Digital Health Portfolio (program and project management as dictated by business needs)
