The Job

WarnerMedia is one of the nation's largest media companies, with millions of customer relationships - delivering programming and original sports, news, and entertainment content to audiences globally. Currently, WarnerMedia manages the operations and delivery of our digital advertising across major markets domestically, aligned and responsible to each content vertical. In addition, our platform services group in Atlanta provides centralized support for our primary ad systems. In order to drive further efficiency and effectiveness in line with our initiatives, WarnerMedia is now recruiting a manager of operations to spearhead these activities: The Manager, Advertising Operations provides direction to the operations teams supporting our digital sales team.

The Daily

  • This position is responsible for overseeing our digital operations initiatives.

  • Specifically, the Operations team provides services to our clients and revenue opportunities to sales through: campaign management, trafficking, campaign scheduling, order fulfillment, taxonomy, campaign optimization, and programmatic channels.

  • The Manager, Advertising Operations must be able to effectively partner and collaborate with other business divisions, including platform services, client services, yield management, and the sales leadership team.

  • The position requires a deep understanding of digital advertising, specifically expertise in trafficking, ad serving, & troubleshooting of creatives.

  • Additionally, strong interpersonal skills and communication is needed for managing across functions.

The Essentials

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalence experience in related field.
  • 5-7 years of related experience in digital operations, ideally within trafficking or ad technology roles.


  • Demonstrated success in implementing effective advertising systems and operational processes.

  • Strong leadership characteristics and success managing across teams

  • Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, partners.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective working relationships.

  • Technology experience in digital operations business.

  • Strategic thinking skills are critical; track record of creative and innovative approaches in advertising operations services.

  • Thorough understanding of digital advertising and related systems.

  • Programmatic and campaign optimization experience.

  • Proficiency in mobile/App executions.

  • People management experience, preferred.

Overview and Responsibilities The Operations team ensures the accurate maintenance of advertiser schedules from order to invoice clearance. The team encompasses functions ranging from deal maintenance to traffic, to invoice clearance and sales platform functionality. This involves collaborating with all levels of personnel from multiple departments such as, Advertising Sales, Pricing and Inventory, Delivery, Billing, Collections, outside partners, and MTS. The team also works in close collaboration with the technology teams to handle Ad Sales system access, functionality, integration, and utility. Role description: The Digital Asset Analyst provides critical first-level system support to the Ad Sales team, assists in staff training and the development of training documentation, and runs quarterly system user validation. Responsibilities include: TRAINING: * Conduct system and process training for new digital Ad Sales and Ad Operations staff * Work with business teams and manager to develop, update and deploy training materials * Build step-by-step process guides and other reference materials to support training * Maintain training attendance and completion records SYSTEM SUPPORT: * First contact for all user system support issues or questions * Support System Upgrades (e.g., UAT testing, new functionality rollouts, etc.) * Work with Client Service Representatives and Operation teams on billing and process requests/questions (MBAP Process) * Determine if escalation is required for system issues and work with external teams from WideOrbit, Google and FreeWheel, as well as internal teams such as BI, MTS, and DBO until a solution is reached * Responsible for reviewing and editing WideOrbit Digital Hub Playbook each month to ensure the guide is always up to date. Analyst to consult with Business Operations on all system improvements that need to be incorporated into the WODH Playbook.
