Role Title: Manager Demand Planning Business Partner


The Manager Demand Planning Business Partner is responsible for leading and driving a collaborative and efficient monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The S&OP may start with a robust statistical forecast that will be vetted against financial targets. The Business Partner will segment data to determine 'forecast-ability' and manage all S&OP overrides driven by new product introductions, promotions and price increases. The Demand Planning Business Partner will own the S&OP forecast accuracy performance to achieve agreed upon targets.

Decision Making/Top Accountabilities

  • Lead and influence the cross functional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) team

  • Provide overall leadership for the demand plan that will drive the S&OP process

  • Collaborate with the Innovation Team on volume and size assumptions, shipment timings and cannibalization projections for all new product introductions

  • Lead the S&OP team to align upon a rolling 18 month consensus forecast to drive the supply production plan

  • Lead monthly performance management reviews with both the Commercial and Supply leadership teams

  • Challenge the Finance AOP projected growth assumptions based on historical trends as necessary

  • Analyze forecast exceptions utilizing the suite of BW reporting tools

  • Rigorously adhere all documented processes

Financial Responsibility

  • The Manager Demand Planning Business Partner owns the forecast that is driving the supply plan. The forecast will influence the finished good inventory (cash impact)

Management Responsibility

  • Pro-actively works with Manager Demand Planning Process & Capability and the Demand Planning Analysts to understand changes to the statistical forecast

  • Pro-actively communicates trends to S&OP partners and highlights potential impact to the financial targets

  • Provides an 18 month forecast to Supply Planning

  • Reports to the Director of Demand Planning

  • Strong knowledge of S&OP best practice

  • Responsible for managing and influencing multiply stakeholders across functions and geographies

  • Using KPI metrics to influence stakeholder decision making

Barriers to Success

  • Lack of communication and engagement skills; inability to influence and manage stakeholders

Experience and Education

  • 5+ years' within Supply Chain Management (Finance roles are also beneficial)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations / Supply Chain Management, or related business discipline (Advanced Degree a plus - APICS CIPM Certification a plus)

  • Previous experience working with SAP APO is preferred; however experience with similar planning tools will be considered

  • Previous experience working with Business Intelligence/BW Reporting tools is preferred; however experience with similar tools that enable data mining will be considered

  • Prior experience leading and embedding S&OP best practice ways of working

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and decision making skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required

  • Adeptness working with multiple stakeholders across the end-to-end Supply Chain and Finance/Commercial teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills

Responsible for training team on new procedures/policies and payment status inquiries, along with training new SRM users, approvers and confirmers * Prepare SRM shopping carts and Oracle PO's. Submit invoices for payment * Point of contact for SAP, Concur, Oracle PO, and TR P-Cards by ensuring that new users are set up and trained on necessary applications * Responsible for equipment & software procurement for TR WW New York team, including printer management and new PC orders and upgrades for team * Develop and manage team contact and distribution lists * Run and distribute monthly reports Qualifications * Position requires 1-3 years of related experience. * Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and prioritize a high volume of work. * Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
