Job Summary:

LSU Auxiliary Services is seeking a hard-working, self starter to manage the IT needs of the unit. This position manages the design, configuration, and maintenance of systems, ensuring proper trouble resolution and project life cycle.

This position also manages all Auxiliary Services systems, process, and procedures. Participates with Information Technology Services resources in the planning, development and implementation of Auxiliary Services technology systems across 5 LSU campuses; network equipment; and backup/disaster recovery Serves as the single point of contact for end users to receive end user training and related documentation, maintenance and administrative support within the organization's computing environment. Supervises 1 Data Analyst.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the design, configuration and maintenance of the LSU Auxiliary Services systems, including documentation, capacity planning and life cycle funding. In coordination with ITS, oversees data exchanges and integration with other technologies and systems across campus.

Automates data gathering, reporting, and advanced interface integration for Auxiliary Systems and stakeholders. Trains, supervises, leads and directs the work of one Data Analyst 1. 40%

Manage all application management and backups. Manage the design, development, release, and maintenance application systems.

Be familiar with a variety of the industry's concepts, practices and procedures. Evaluates new technologies to remain state of the art and in line with LSU's Flagship Agenda. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 20%

In coordination with ITS, maintain standard operation procedures for security, business continuity and disaster recovery framework for systems, networking and applications. Perform tests and updates for plans. Assists ITS in compliance with all requisite security standards, protocols and activities (PCI, EMV, encryption, password policies, access control). schedule systems maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and upgrades for workstations, laptops, servers, and peripheral equipment; troubleshoots network issues. 20%

Works on automation projects to increase productivity and efficiency of services offered by the department. Communicates with staff, Directors and Administration regarding status of on-going projects, technology risks and recommendations for technology integration for the Auxiliary Services department. In coordination with ITS, manage the implementation of future Auxiliary Services IT campus technology deployments. 15%

Other Duties as assigned 5%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree 3 years of experience in application design and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and Decision Sciences or a related field.

5 years of experience providing technical support and administration for, including but not limited to, network authentication, web services, and applications utilized by a large campus.
