Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Manager, Data Integration & GIS with proven leadership and work experience with the administration of GIS databases in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our growing team!
The Manager, Data Integration & GIS role is responsible for managing Buckeye's Geographic Information System (GIS), which includes the development and implementation of processes/procedures for integrating geospatial asset integrity data, maintaining Buckeye'sGIS as its single source for pipeline records, and providing efficient tools for accessing and reporting pipeline-related information.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
Data Integration. Leading efforts to align various pipeline integrity, corrosion control, right-of-way, and pipeline material records into Buckeye's GIS for risk evaluation and mitigation, including High Consequence Area (HCA) and Emergency FlowRestricting Device (EFRD) analyses
Program Implementation. Interfacing with Asset Integrity, Regulatory Compliance, Operations, One Call, Business Development, HSSE, Engineering, and other business/support groups to understand GIS needs and support implementation of those programs
Personnel Management. Leading team of subject matter experts in the performance of GIS and document management-related processes and procedures
Documentation. Maintaining and tracking project records through a Document Management Program, and conducting QA/QC reviews of historical records to validate GIS data
Reporting. Providing data to support various regulatory agency and internal reporting requirements
Technical Support. Serving as the GIS application help desk for employees and contractors to provide resolution of end-user difficulties and supporting all GIS-related software and hardware requirements with support from the IT Department, as necessary
Vendor Liaison. Engaging outside services as appropriate and serving as principal contact with GIS vendors for upgrades, cost control, and technical support
Budgeting and Forecasting. Supporting ongoing planning activities, including the annual budget process and monthly forecasting
New Technologies. Evaluating new GIS technologies, products, and services and making recommendations to management for implementation

Bachelor's Degree in Geography/Cartography/GIS, Information Science, Engineering or equivalent required.
Prior managerial experience required.
5+ years experience with pipelines/pipeline integrity, or work experience with the administration of GIS databases is required.
Proficiency with server-based and web-based data applications, as well as SQL Server and relational databases, and MS Office applications required.
Knowledge of GIS software and GIS concepts is required, Esri tools experience strongly preferred, and Esri APR experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience in developing/implementing management system related technology preferred.

Maintain high level of technical expertise to remain current with changing technology, standards and regulations.
