POSITION: Manager, Customer Sales

COMPENSATION: Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range is $60,000 -$70,000 plus comprehensive and lucrative performance bonus potential. REPORTS TO: Director, Centralized Leasing

SUMMARY:

As a Customer Sales Manager (CSM), you'll join Cardinal's Centralized Services department and manage a team of Customer Sales Specialists (CSS) focused on providing remote leasing support for contracted communities. You'll help ensure consistent, quality sales service for assigned communities, with your team of Sales Specialists handling lead management, lead nurturing, tour scheduling, follow-ups, and management of our AI leasing tools. You'll partner with our Director of Centralized Leasing on enhancements to our leasing platform and participate in the creation of new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes to reflect the work of your sales team in the new, centralized Cardinal Way of Leasing. Along the way, you'll participate in industry-leading conversations about centralized support and help explore new tools, processes, and automation to help build our leasing process of the future.

This role is part of Cardinal Group's new centralized services team and work may be performed remotely or at our HQ office in Denver, CO. Although your role may be remote and reports to the centralized services leadership team, you will work closely with team members to provide consistently excellent customer service to our future and current residential customers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

  • Manage a team of 4 - 6 Customer Sales Specialists to ensure quality, consistent leasing support for contracted conventional, student housing, build-to-rent, and affordable housing communities.

  • Monitor Customer Sales Specialist performance using available data and reporting from centralized service platforms and property management softwares.

  • Partner with the department Analyst to ensure reporting reflects the needs of onsite teams in understanding the work undertaken by their Customer Sales Specialist.

  • Foster collaboration between the onsite teams and their dedicated Customer Sales Specialist to support the continued rollout of centralized services across Cardinal's portfolio.

  • Participate in internal and client-facing pitch meetings to sell the the value of centralized services

  • Maintain strong relationships with the Cardinal Group Marketing teams to ensure centralized leasing efforts are reflective of the goals established by the Portfolio Sales & Marketing (PSM) team.

  • Monitor and communicate opportunities for improvement in Cardinal Group's centralized leasing tools, including AI tools, call center platforms, and property management softwares.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and/or standardization in the leasing process across contracted communities.

  • Participate in calls with technology partners whose products are being utilized by the centralized leasing team and in strategic decision-making with the Centralized Services management team.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect changing leasing processes through the introduction of centralized support.

  • Professionally represent Cardinal Group and our communities in every interaction with prospective future residents.

  • Participate in department-led efforts to foster collaboration, culture, and belonging across a remote workforce.

  • Participates in Cardinal U training as required, including completion and continuous execution of Cardinal Way of Leasing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in property management

  • 1 - 2 years of experience leading 3+ team members on-site or remotely.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required, a bachelor's degree preferred

  • Maintains a consistent level of professional customer service.

  • Excellent written communication skills, especially short form for easily digestible with pointed, relevant information

  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details and perform tasks with consistent accuracy

  • Working knowledge of Yardi / Entrata is preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The employee must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver office products and supplies of up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Routine local travel may be required to attend training classes, client visits, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position. Overnight travel required to attend company functions, training, property visits, and other situations necessary for the accomplishment of special projects that may be assigned from time to time.
