The Manager, Custom Applications is responsible for the general management of business IT custom application related systems and implementation of software applications. This is a management-level position responsible for maintaining daily operations while analyzing and directing all IT related activities of the organization with supervisory responsibilities for all staff assigned to the IT Customs Applications team. This position is accountable for ensuring the overall coordination of Custom Applications while working very closely with the all IT departments and management to ensure applications meet the business needs for the organization.

  • Work in close collaboration with the business to define the needs and uses for various applications within the environment.

  • Communicate effectively with the business and IT management on status, timelines, and potential challenges.

  • Oversee the provisioning, support, and training of end users for applications.

  • Document all aspects of IT systems as it relates to applications.

  • Train and professionally develop direct reports.

  • Work closely with users to ensure that implementations and related integrations meet the functional and business requirements.

  • Provide technology leadership, vision and strategy for the company that includes anticipating future needs and identifying proactive solutions to satisfy the needs of the business.

  • Constantly improve and innovate business processes and integrations

  • Oversee administration and management of custom applications department.

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the company.

  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with business divisions.

  • Facilitate project priorities within the Custom Applications team.

  • Assume management responsibility for the analysis, evaluation, development, testing and implementation of system applications.

  • Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs.

  • Manage and administer policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures.

  • Manage appropriate service and staffing levels.

  • Plan, direct, coordinate and review the work plan for Custom Applications staff. Assign work activities, projects and programs. Review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures. Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems.

  • Implement system changes through automation, process change, management solutions and training.

  • Bachelor of Science in Business/Computer Science or related field (preferred).

Certificates & Licenses:

Project Management certifications, PMP or similar is beneficial.

  • 5 years of hands-on experience with relevant technologies.

  • 3 or more years of Salesforce & SharePoint Development experience

  • 2 or more years of business analysis experience.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce & SharePoint infrastructure and a proven track record of systems configuration, maintenance and ownership of environment/platform upgrades.
