The Cost Accounting Manager will manage the day-to-day finance and accounting activities in support of manufacturing operations, in compliance with Spacelabs policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
Manage daily responsibilities of the Cost Accounting team in support of manufacturing operations.
Actively drive Operations in tracking and controlling inventory levels. Provide advice on inventory management and reduction.
Maintain sound internal controls including but not limited cycle count and inventory scrap.
Maintain periodic financial reporting and financial analysis to provide operations management with the data needed to successfully run the business.
Participate as a member of the Operations management team, providing advice and direction for global operations.
Plan and manage the periodic (annual) review and roll of the product unit standard costs.
Develop and improve accounting systems and procedures to enhance responsiveness to Operations management needs.
Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and financial reporting.
Manage and prepare monthly forecast and annual budget.
Assist the Corporate Controller and Director of Finance, FP&A in special projects and all other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in business with added emphasis in cost accounting.
5+ years cost accounting experience required.
2+ years managing/supervising teams.
A CPA or a CMA is desirable.
Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to deliver results through others, both direct and matrixed. Proven ability to lead, develop, motivate and hold others accountable.
Must be able to complete job responsibilities working with global time zone needs such as attending late night/ early morning meetings by phone and/ or web to meet global business needs.
