Provides management & coordi nation for policy, procedure and guideline activities. Works collaboratively with multiple departments and facilities to implement & facilitate systems and/or sub-systems that support policy standardization. Assures appropriate stakeholders are involved in policies, procedures, and/or guidelines that affect them. Maintains user friendly programmatic functionality.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for design & development of the online policy infrastructure. Develops and implements a consistent, trackable policy and procedure for retiring and archiving policies.

Provides consultation & coordination to assure policies & procedures are coordinated with similar policies in other programs or departments.

  • Manages & updates online policy database. Reviews all software upgrades prior to implementation. Update responsible parties of changes in C360 that will affect them. Responsible for the integrity and security of the online policy program. Manages user security access. Works with IT and grants access levels, removes terminated employees, etc. Responsible for the integrity of archiving retired policies. Manages downtime and makes arrangements for document access during extended downtimes.

  • Develops a communication process to keep all sites aware of new policies and/or changes

  • Manages and supervises policy services staff. Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff reporting to manager position.

  • Responsible for determining needs for and requesting software enhancements, addressing performance issues with the system, and managing contrac

  • Creates training materials. Responsible for training & education of online policy system to responsible parties and super users.

  • Serves as Legal Services contact for policy histories in litigation situations.

Required Minimum Education: 2 Year/ Associates Degree / Specialty/Major:: Healthcare or Business

Preferred Education: 4 year/ Bachelors Degree / Specialty/Major: Healthcare, Business or Clinical

Licensure/Certification Required: Only as required by degree or licensure

Minimum Years and Type of Experience : 5 years in healthcare

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Foundational working knowledge of hospital and healthcare policy management, infrastructure and the interdependence of the departments and services

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Experience in healthcare policy management
