Role Summary

The Manager, Corporate Accounting will oversee various day-to-day accounting matters as well as month, quarter and year-end close processes and will report to the Director, Corporate Accounting. This role will also be responsible for training and mentoring other members of the accounting team as well as developing process efficiencies and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve journal entries prepared by other team members as well as prepare journal entries for more complex accounting matters

  • Prepare/review various balance sheet account reconciliations ensuring proper supporting documentation

  • Analyze and document Income Statement and Balance Sheet fluctuations on a quarterly basis

  • Liaise with teams across multiple departments and locations to obtain and distribute financial information

  • Coordinate with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits. Prepare/review audit documentation as requested

  • Collaborate with internal audit team to implement and maintain internal controls and procedures in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley

  • Maintain ownership over the chart of accounts and ensure accurate and consistent coding among various GL accounts, cost centers and legal entities

  • Assist with supervision of the team and provide training and guidance to team members

  • Perform special projects and any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant accounting experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • CPA and/or Public Accounting experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills. Operational knowledge of Oracle / HFM is a plus

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to adhere and meet internal and external deadlines

  • Capability to prioritize workload and perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Follow us on LinkedIn Role Summary The Corporate Accountant will be an integral member of the Corporate Accounting team and will be responsible for several key areas of the month-end close process and will lead the preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses. Key Responsibilities * Prepare monthly journal entries and reconcile key balance sheet accounts ensuring proper supporting documentation * Perform and document month-end close procedures in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements * Analyze and document Income Statement and Balance Sheet fluctuations on a quarterly basis * Coordinate with teams across multiple departments and locations to obtain and distribute financial information * Support the completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits. Prepare audit documentation as requested * Assist with the preparation of key footnote disclosures for 10-K and 10-Q filings * Proactively identify and implement process improvements * Perform special projects and any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned Qualifications/Experience * A minimum of 2 years relevant accounting experience * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field * Working towards CPA and/or Public Accounting experience is a plus * Fundamental knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements * Previous experience with ERP systems (Oracle/HFM) is a plus * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to adhere and meet internal and external deadlines * Capability to prioritize workload and perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Please note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
