Job Profile Summary

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in managing and coordinating the operations of the Continuing Education department. Manages a range of diverse program development, activities and operations by matching learners/clients' needs with innovative programming Provides a diverse range of support which requires comprehensive administrative knowledge, organizational and operational skills in support of the department revenue and enrollment goals.

Coordinates and supports the Continuing Education department in the operations and activities of the department, , inventory tracking and management, department purchasing, preparing for upcoming terms, and department initiatives.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.

  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered

Minimum Experience/Training:

  • Six years of related experience required; Prior experience in higher education preferred.

  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish)

Essential Functions:

  • Daily
  • 20%: Manages a range of diverse program development, activities and operations by matching learners/clients' needs with innovative programming. Provides administrative and support services for budget and deliverables. Gathers and analyzes data through various techniques such as surveys, focus groups, environmental scans, etc., to assess need and target markets.

  • 20%: Provides and oversees support activities by adhering to policies and procedures, scheduling, following up on operational commitments, and ensuring inquiries are addressed and resolved in a timely manner for learners/clients.

  • 15%: Utilizes knowledge and understanding in all matters related to select courses including class schedules, room assignments, and course materials to ensure quality of continuing education programs and student success.
  • Monthly
  • 15%: Prepares, evaluates and analyzes reports, documentation, and related materials to inform Broward College leadership on project progress at regular intervals, both in written and oral communication forms. Presentations to larger groups may occasionally be necessary.

  • 5%: Coordinates Noncredit learning initiatives for all learners.

  • 5%: Autonomously meet revenue and enrollment goals annually
  • Other-5%: Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the area's existing processes and makes appropriate recommendations for improvement.
