Manager, Consumer Loans Compliance Administration
The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You'll Be Doing
Manages the development and execution of First Line of Defense (FLD) risk program by assessing business processes to ensure adequate and effective controls are in place to comply with regulatory requirements through the identification, management, and mitigation of compliance risk within business unit.
Oversee FLD program and provide subject matter expertise and understanding of the laws, rules, and regulations with which the business unit must comply and an awareness of issues of recent regulatory focus.
Develop and implement compliance risk mitigation strategies and sufficient internal controls to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, regulatory guidelines, and policies and procedures.
Utilizing depth of operational compliance knowledge, evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes and recommend new processes that most effectively anticipate, manage, and reduce compliance risk. Oversee testing of controls, systems, processes, and procedures to identify compliance gaps, quality assurance trends, and potential exposure.
Oversee investigation, questions, concerns, operational resolution, and monitoring of any compliance issues impacting the business unit. May consult with outside counsel as necessary to obtain legal and regulatory guidance and interpretation impacting FLD.
Serve as primary point of contact for the business unit with the Compliance area, risk management, internal audit, CFPB, NCUA and other regulatory/government agencies during examinations.
Understand and proactively monitor legal, regulatory, litigation, enforcement actions, and policy changes impacting the operations within the business unit. Conduct compliance risk assessments, and regular internal audits to identify and address compliance issues and regulatory risk exposure. Implement the appropriate actions/changes to ensure compliance.
Lead the timely and effective resolution of issues and implementation of approved recommendations identified through FLD, Compliance area assessments, external regulatory examinations, monitoring, and testing.
Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including corrective action plans and periodic reporting to the Compliance area.
Assess compliance risk issues presented through complex new/revised product and service offerings.
Implement any products/processes necessary as they relate to compliance risk mitigation based on regulatory findings and/or requirements.
Oversee any departmental projects related to the execution of internal compliance programs.
Partner with Learning & Development to ensure proper training and execution of compliance programs.

Provides daily support to staff, including answering questions and problem resolution, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances.
Contributes to organizational goals and priorities as a member of Management team. Establishes and implements plans that have short-term (1-2 year) impact on business results in alignment with organization objectives.
Evaluates operating procedures and policies, ensuring the highest levels of Member service, productivity and internal control.
Initiates, researches, coordinates and implements department or division projects intended to benefit Members, internal teammembers or department operations.
Ensures compliance with state and federal laws as well as any other applicable regulations.
Understands the credit union organizational goals and key performance indicators and takes the necessary actions to achieve desired results.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
5-7 years of related experience required
2-4 years previous management experience preferred
Project management experience preferred
License/Certifications - Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or other similar certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Maintains in-depth knowledge of credit union/compliance software systems utilized within the business unit.
Demonstrated ability to think critically and facilitate change through collaborative effort. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Self-motivation, discipline, task focus, the ability to structure and present work and a proven record of delivering high quality results within strict deadlines.
Ability to multitask and prioritize several concurrent initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively, internally and externally, with the most senior representatives of organizations, regulators and vendors.
