Tasks

Benefit Responsibilities:

  • Manage Health and Welfare Plans for North America (401(k), Pension, RRSP in Canada, Executive Deferred Compensation, Disability/Life, Leave/Workers' Compensation, FSA plans/programs), overseeing all participant transactions, annual valuation and discrimination testing, plan activity, including monitoring asset/liability position, plan reporting and general plan administration

  • Oversee and coordinate annual 401(k) and pension plan audits; government reporting and filing; prepare ERISA 5500 filing for pension plan and 401(k) plans in conjunction with PBS Tax Department; maintain legal documents/filings

  • Develop recommendations for new plans and/or plan design changes in preparation of Board of Directors' meetings for benefit plan related topics

Compensation Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a compensation infrastructure including job evaluation, market pricing/survey participation, salary structures, and job benchmarking/slotting

  • Collaborate with HR Business Managers on salary determination issues for new hires, promotions, transfers, changes, and other compensation actions

  • Monitor and administer expatriate compensation as directed by PAG

Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of quality customer service, efficient processing of payroll items, and payment and reconciliation of taxes, garnishments, benefits, payroll services, controls, check distribution, time and attendance, specific project management, etc.

  • Responsible for the management, administration, compliance, and timely delivery of N. A. Executive Payroll biweekly

  • Management of the Mobility program with direct relationship with Porsche Germany and Tax Vendor for annual reporting.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or another Business related field of study

  • PHR or SPHR (professional or senior professional in human resources) preferred

  • CEBS (certified employee benefits specialist) preferred

  • CCP (certified compensation professional) preferred

  • Master's degree preferred

Experience:

  • 10+ years of Benefits, Compensation and Payroll experience

  • 5 years direct experience in benefit plan administration with at least 5 years supervisory experience

  • ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA US and Canadian law knowledgeable

  • Must possess comprehensive knowledge of HR policies and programs; best practices; principles and trends; as well as employment related State and Federal laws

  • Occasional travel with occasional overnight stays is required

In this regard he/she must be able to identify and interpret current needs and inefficiencies and to develop communicate solutions and influence other management in the use of new processes or resources. Responsible for assisting in the review of existing policies and the integration of WestRock Home Office accounting policies across newly acquired or combined companies. The position is responsible for ensuring all SOX requirements for her/his function and role are met: including journal entry review and balance sheet account reconciliations.
