Position Purpose: Manage the community relations and marketing functions of the health plan in accordance with government and contractual guidelines
Manage the enrollments and eligibility of participants for the Medicaid and Medicare products
Develop and manage community outreach and marketing efforts to help generate enrollments
Assist with escalated questions or issues regarding the entire enrollment lifecycle
Research and communicate information pertaining to marketing activity guidelines set forth by various regulatory agencies and implement necessary changes
Research and monitor competitive products and marketing practices
Oversee workflow and performance of team and recommend improvement opportunities
Participate in health plan meetings, community meetings and task forces..
Review and analyze reports to plan work function activities for new projects, status of work in progress, and problems encountered
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Health Administration, Social Services, related field or equivalent experience. 5 years of marketing, sales or community relations experience including previous managed care experience, preferably in Medicaid and/or Medicare.
Experience with public speaking to community based organizations and member advocacy groups. Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff.
License/Certification: Current state's Accident and Health Insurance Agent license and valid driver's license.
