Manager, Communications, Peacock
The Manager of Communications will create and execute full media campaigns for Peacock original movies and shows. The ideal candidate will develop a comprehensive plan and work aggressively to secure appropriate radio, print, online, social media and broadcast opportunities to generate maximum, positive publicity for Peacock programming and awards campaigns. The successful candidate will also be responsible for drafting plans, releases, loglines, talking points, Q&A, bios and more. Additional responsibilities will include pitching and planting stories, managing and staffing interviews and events, and compiling & presenting comprehensive campaign coverage and analysis.
Act as media strategist, campaign planner and spokesperson for assigned shows.
Develop positive relationships with the actors, producers, publicists, agents, managers, production staff, media and executives.
Manage campaigns for Peacock original shows and movies.
Create and manage awards campaigns for all assigned series.
Foster strong contacts with print, online and electronic media.
Pitch ideas and create promotional opportunities for talent and series.
Promote, create and implement special promotional activities including publicity parties, press conferences and screenings.
Possess a strong understanding of and experience with social media.
Cross over multi-promotional platforms and create synergistic opportunities through marketing and publicity.
Coordinate print interviews, on-set visits, photo shoots and EPKs.
Generate all press materials, including announcement releases, bios, captions, talking points, story synopses, pitch letters and correspondence.
Work closely with program executives, producers, business affairs and legal to garner approval of written materials and campaign initiatives.
Coordinate closely with Universal Television executive team to present the studio and its programming in the most favorable light.
5+ years' experience in media, entertainment and/or distribution
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills required
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional attitude
Must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams
A proactive multi-tasker, with the ability to prioritize and meet numerous deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
