We are searching for a talented Manager, Coding Integrity Program

Hours: Full-time

Shift: Day Shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Remote work eligible or hybrid *Please know we are seeking local candidates who reside in MA or RI

Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director, Health Information Management, perform diversified duties both within and in support of the Coding Integrity Program including but not limited to: provide leadership and direction to assigned personnel and activities, prepare staff work schedules, manage the inpatient and/or outpatient coding operation, in addition to training, monitoring performance and provide coding expertise as required for the health system. Provide direct supervision of assigned coding integrity staff and activities. Make recommendations on employee hiring, merit increases, discipline, transfer, promotion, and other recommendations. Orient and train both new and/or regular personnel as needed. Supervise an assigned staff of 30-35 employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Health Information or the equivalent knowledge and experience is required.

  • Advanced studies in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration and Business Administration or other related fields or equivalent education or experience is preferred. RHIA, RHIT, CCS and/or CPC certification required.

  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities.

  • Minimum five years recent acute care coding and reimbursement experience required.

  • Three to five years supervisory experience required.

  • RHIA, RHIT, CCS and/or CPC certification required.

  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Pay Range

USD $42.70 - USD $71.84 /Hr.
