Sutter Roseville has 405 licensed beds, a full array of services and programs designed to serve the growing community, and a level II American College of Surgeons-verified Trauma Center serving a seven-county region. In Roseville, we provide integrated healthcare services through the growing Sutter Roseville Medical Center, Sutter Medical Foundation and Sutter Rehabilitation Institute. Specialized services included Sutter Cancer Center, Roseville, the Family Birth Center, and the Trauma Center.

Our tradition of providing leading medical care to the growing community continues today. since opening Sutter Roseville in 1997 we have made significant additions to the medical center that include the Breast Health Center and Bariatric (Weight Loss) Surgery, new technology, state of the art equipment, and top of the line health care services to Roseville and the surrounding area.

This position will support the operations of the GME (graduate medical education) simulation center on the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Campus. Oversees the development, planning and implementation of simulation activities for the clinical staff and residents. Manages the overall operations of the simulation center and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies. Implements, communicates, and monitors service line and system-level changes related to documentation, technology/equipment, practice, and workflow. Collaborates with GME and other leaders to meet program simulation needs. Designs simulation offerings through the use of educational processes and methodologies that incorporate adult education and learning principles.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • MSN or similar degree (preferred)

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • RN-Registered Nurse of California

  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

  • Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (preferred)

  • Certified Nurse Educator (preferred)

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 8 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of concepts of educational needs assessment, planning, curriculum development, training implementation and evaluation required.

  • Demonstrates understanding of adult learning concepts.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.

  • Demonstrates solid clinical proficiency and knowledge to effectively plan and coordinate patient care consistent with applicable laws, standards and regulations.

  • Working knowledge and thorough understanding of state/federal/local and/or accreditation standards and requirements as it relations to operations and organization, with the ability interpret and implement applicable standards and requirements.

  • Demonstrates ability to develop and manage a budget.

  • Demonstrates tactical and analytical thinking and planning skills, and is able to develop plan to accomplish objectives, identify obstacles and resolve operational issues.

  • Knowledge of emerging treads and how it impacts operations.

  • Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and/or leaders to achieve business objectives.

  • Verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.

  • Demonstrates ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.

  • Ability to use essential software and applications associated with the role's duties and responsibilities.

Pay Range is $80.57 to $128.91 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
