Overview

The Clinical Engineering Manager I leads clinical engineering initiatives to provide superior customer service and operational efficiency by managing the execution of the TRIMEDX Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP). This position manages operations on a day-to-day basis, collaborates and maintains positive relationships with customers, works to develop colleagues, and provides a communication channel between hospital executives and the TRIMEDX Central Office. The Clinical Engineering Manager I also directs Joint Commission inspections and ensures that TRIMEDX services are in compliance with regulatory standards. This position includes a hands-on service component in general biomedical support.

Responsibilities

Leadership 40%

  • Apply knowledge and experience of technology and/or equipment to oversee site operations and provide direction to others

  • Motivate others through praise, recognition, and rewards

  • Manage personnel by staffing and scheduling technicians in a manner that assures the best service possible

  • Coach and mentor technicians by providing feedback on performance and documentation habits

  • Mentor, coach, and develop others to deliver continuous service excellence

Administer MEMP to Key Performance Measures 30%

  • Manage Service Operations functions, such as service contracts and resources. Document the demand labor, demand parts, labor, contracts, labor, and parts

  • Answer questions and meet with others to discern the root cause of technological/process problems

  • Manage inventory of shop supplies

  • Develop service strategies with an outlook of continuous process improvement. Provide metrics to TRIMEDX Central Office and work to meet these requirements

  • Manage Joint Commission inspections and make sure open work orders are made a priority and that performance assurance inspections are documented

Account Management & Development 30%

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers by employing interpersonal and conflict management skills

  • Effectively collaborate with customers and vendors to develop win-win solutions

  • Monitor each modality after setting financial and performance benchmarks

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for business entry

  • Manage financial performance

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in electronics or related technical discipline, business, or equivalent military training/experience required. MBA or Bachelor's in engineering or business preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years' leadership experience, preferably in a clinical engineering setting; or graduate of the internal management training program

  • Experience creating an annual budget and P&L management

  • Technical certification such as A+, CBET, CRES, CLES, or CCE a plus

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required

VIEW JOBS 4/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-17T00:00 ResponsibilitiesManages participants through their period of participation in the Diversion Program by monitoring overall program compliance, oversight of recovery activities, recommendations for treatment, and liaison with the Board The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience * Hold current, unrestricted RN, MFT, LCSW, or CDAC license to practice in California with appropriate credentials -Serves as liaison for assigned Board/Committee and their designee (Diversion Program Manager, (DPM), Diversion Evaluation Committee (DEC) Case Consultant, DEC Chair).-Responds to incoming calls on the toll-free line, as needed, and after-hour, weekend, and holiday calls on a rotating basis with other Diversion Program staff.-Prepares applicant Pre-DEC Entry Agreements and participant Recovery Terms and Conditions Agreements, and ensures delivery of all applicant, contract, transition materials, and the like.-Conducts remote, telephonic assessment and reassessments of impaired health professional licensees to evaluate their overall compliance with program requirements and progress in recovery.-Evaluates incoming information submitted by treatment providers, facilities, participants, and labs to monitor participant's progress and compliance with the Recovery Terms and Conditions Agreement.-Contacts the participant, the appropriate Board/Committee (or their designee) or treatment providers, facilities and labs in response to participant non-compliance with the Recovery Terms and Conditions Agreement.-Meets with applicant/participant telephonically weekly until seen by DEC, and monthly thereafter, to review compliance and progress in recovery.-Ensures time requirements are met in regard to all Diversion Program policies, procedures and contract performance standards.-Compiles, produces, reviews and ensures timely distribution of the History and Profile (H&P) reports prior to submission to Diversion Program Managers (DPMs).-Reviews Monthly Compliance/Non-Compliance reports and letters, as well as other reports and correspondence, as required.-Produces other reports and letters as requested, including the "Letter of Successful Completion."-Attends and presents clinical case input at DEC and review committee meetings.-Attends and presents at other meetings as required, including educational presentations and conferences.-Engages in quality assurance monitoring and evaluation for the Diversion Program, as necessary.-Meets all standards established for this position.-Performs other duties as may be assigned by management. This position is classified as limited capacity.
