Job Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director Clinical Applications will drive initiatives in designing, building and supporting electronic medical record platform (Cerner), ancillary systems for cardiology, radiology, pathology, etc., and enabling automation and integration in support advancing patient care delivery. Responsibilities include coordinating and managing multiple, concurrent clinical application and collaboration related projects/programs driving towards improved clinical, operational and research decision-making, and other priorities as established by the partnerships with clinical operations leadership and the governance function. This individual must be able to work across multiple functional and technical groups, educate technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively manage expectations, facilitate negotiations and help establish department priorities. The role is expected to drive project delivery within established timeframes, budget and scope while delivering business value and simultaneously planning for and managing future requirements. Promotes and facilitates a teamwork environment at all times.

  • This role entails overseeing the team responsible for supporting applications tailored to Radiology, Cardiology, and Laboratory services. The manager will lead efforts to design, build and maintain ancillary applications, fostering automation and integration to enhance patient care delivery. Pay Range

Minimum $118,979 Midpoint $157,656 Maximum $196,354

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience:

  • Experience leading and managing application teams. Five or more years experience in EMR, radiology, cardiology and/or other enterprise applications platforms. Experience industry-wide including leading solution design & implementations. Managing projects, delivering on agreements and service levels. Experience with program development. Experience with running daily operational support of enterprise systems including patching, upgrading, break-fix activities.

  • Prefers ten or more years of experience with some industry-wide and/or healthcare experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education

  • Prefers Master's degree or work towards Master's degree in Information science or related

Training:

  • None required

Specialized Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills, highly developed strategy skills. Strong track record successfully managing teams. Good presentation skills. Demonstrated excellence in creating relationships, establishing dialogue with administrators, physicians, executives, and business owners.

  • Prefers seminar or management development training completed relevant to these areas
