The Manager, CDC manages daily activities of a centralized distribution center. They develop and implement plans for managing Warehouse processes for production and/or client implementation, communicate with Warehouse Leadership and Individual Contributors regarding Safety, Quality and Productivity requirements, determine and request resources to satisfy customer requirements.

  • Manages multiple areas or locations within the Distribution Center function.

  • Act as liaison to coordinate and execute strategies, resolve issues, set priorities between customers, validate data within programs, and ensure proper documentation flow through supply systems.

  • Manages Distribution Center policies and processes, the collection of data and conducts analysis with the goal of improving the organization's Distribution Center operations.

  • Participate in proposal activities in support of strategic initiatives to enable business growth.

  • Identifies under-performing areas and recommends improvements or resolutions to problems. Ensures compliance with all regulations related to contract requirements. Conducts contractor reviews.

  • Sets direction for area(s) of responsibility in alignment with the direction for the CDC. Responsible for staffing and budgeting recommendations to meet the Company, Customer and facility requirements.

  • Manages Distribution Center staff, professionals and/or supervisors.

  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

  • 2+ years of directly related experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years in prior management role

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Team Lead-Central Distribution Center leads daily activities of a centralized distribution center including, but not limited to: reviewing, receiving, packaging and shipping of material/inventory from a supplier or to a customer in a timely manner. Supports management in physical movement of inventory and supplies in, out and within of the central warehouse operation. This position will train employees and work with supervisors to schedule personnel within a department based upon requirements and manpower resources. May monitor inventory levels to aid in management of expenses, minimizing loss, and maximizing revenue. * Leads operations in single or multiple areas or locations within the Distribution Center function. * Primary duties include, but are limited to: packaging, shipping, receiving, stocking, picking, RDR, and workload management. * May act as liaison to coordinate and execute strategies, resolve issues, set priorities between customers, validate data within programs, and ensure proper documentation flow through supply systems. * May identify underperforming areas and recommend improvements or resolutions to problems. * Ensures compliance with all regulations related to contract requirements. * Train warehouse personnel on processes and procedures. * May lead and / or direct the work of others. * Work with supervisors to schedule personnel within a department based upon requirements and manpower resources. * Completes special projects and other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum Education: * High School diploma or GED required. Preferred Education: * Associate's Degree preferred. Preferred Coursework and/or Certification(s): * May require Hazmat and/or Forklift certification.
