Job Description:

The general purpose of the Operations Manager is to ensure compliance with overall objectives of the company objectives, and to ensure the efficient operation of locations.

Primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining adequate follow-up schedules to ensure safe and effective use of all equipment

  • Coordinating all service/delivery personnel to ensure timely and safe delivery of equipment to include HME, Respiratory, Infusion, and Enteral

  • Maintaining adequate on-call staff to provide 24-hour service and delivery of equipment

  • Reviewing and maintaining all vehicle logs and records daily

  • Ensuring compliance with DOT and FDA regulations

  • Reviewing and monitoring use of Respiratory Therapist for home visits

  • Implementing the plan to minimize PRN therapist with company guidelines and General Manager direction

  • Assisting in all staff orientation programs

  • Providing and monitoring ongoing in-service education for all products and services at each location

  • Assisting Director of Patient Services to develop and maintain Q.I. programs to improve the technical and functional proficiency of all staff at each location

  • Participating in branch audit activities at each location

  • Maintaining compliance with JCAHO Standards at each location

  • Overseeing and directing purchasing to ensure the continuous provision of therapies and equipment for each location; monitoring compliance of major vendor program to ensure maximum cost savings; and implementing the plan to move slow-moving/obsolete inventory

  • Ensuring accounts payable are reviewed and processed timely to capture maximum discounts

  • Monitoring and reviewing inventory and capital equipment activity on a routine basis

  • Organizing and directing annual inventory process

Job Requirements

  • Five years management experience in a medical background (home medical experience preferred)

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree preferred

  • High School Graduate (Diploma) or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply

Required Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Abilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Successful completion of all scheduled New Employee Orientation Programs

  • Successful completion of all training requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and perform both mathematics calculations and the English language effectively

  • Ability to work independently and be detail oriented

  • Ability to lift or carry 50 lbs.

  • Ability to communicate independently and verbally with staff and clients

  • Well organized
