Manager, Cash & Treasury Services

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of the position is to manage the day-to-day cash operations of the US and Canada including the movement of cash and forecasting. The position is responsible for ensuring adequate liquidity for daily operations while proactively identifying and mitigating operations risks. The Cash Manager will drive continuous process improvement and design, implement automation, and eliminate/minimize non-value add activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Oversee the daily cash position for the US and Canada using a third- party treasury workstation and banking platforms.

  • Design and/or implement tools to create additional efficiencies in the processes.

  • Forecasts daily cash requirements and creates a weekly short-term forecast.

  • Oversees the electronic funds transfer process and ensures all internal policies and controls are followed. Ensures all cash transactions are validated and the balancing of all accounts.

  • Manages appropriate procedures and processes including journal entries around month-end and quarter-close activity.

  • Determines investment and borrowing needs.

  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures in day-to-day conduct and supervision of cash management activities.

  • Works with internal/external audit to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Analyzes monthly bank fees charged by various banks and works with management to define and develop solutions to be more cost efficient and effective.

  • Oversee various retail related functions including the deposit tracking program.

  • Works closely with the Sales Audit team on retail account setup/closures and transaction investigations.

  • Oversees special project work of the Treasury Analyst.

  • Actively manage other Treasury projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

6+ years in Treasury or relevant experience.

Education:

BS degree required. CTP or MBA preferred.

Skills:

  • Experience with Kyriba is a plus.

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines, at the same time as mitigating risk.

  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking.

  • Strong cross-functional awareness.

  • Ability to use discretion and good judgement.
