This is an incredibly exciting time to join the Homes and Global Distribution team at Honeywell! Homes and Global Distribution is a leader in the home heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controls and security markets, and a leading global distributor of security and fire protection products. In 2018, Honeywell will be spinning off the Homes and Global Distribution business into a stand-alone, publicly traded company. Being a stand-alone company will provide the business the independence, focus, direct financial resources, and flexibility required to adapt quickly to market and customer dynamics, and we want you to be part of its evolution.

Reporting to the Director, Cash Management, the cash manager will manage the day-to-day Cash Management functions to meet the financial obligations of the organization, including:

Liquidity Management

  • Support cash flow and liquidity forecasting/modeling
  • daily cash positioning and funding
  • short-term investments

Treasury Operations

  • Executing wire transfers

  • Opening/closing bank accounts

  • Securing new banking services

  • Optimizing bank account structures

  • Administration of online banking systems including establishing user access, approving new users and conducting user audits

Additional Responsibilities

  • maintain a best-in-class set of treasury operational policies and procedures to ensure a robust internal control environment

  • Support development of recommendations to improve process, service delivery and reduce costs across the enterprise.

  • Monitor treasury key performance metrics, generate management reports and implement action plans to support improved performance

  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to support business activity; Perform related responsibilities as required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, or economics
  • 3+ years of related work experience


  • Significant treasury, (financial and/or accounting?) experience

  • effective communication skills with cultural sensitivity

  • strong attention to detail

  • high performer even in complex situations or problems

  • strong analytical skills

  • systems savvy

  • MBA Qualification preferred

  • Certified Treasury Professional or equivalent training

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.

This role is part of the AMER Deal Management team and will be located in either Palo Alto, CA or Austin, TX. Deal Management will review all Commercial, Business, Legal & Revenue requirements, to support the Field in achieving the most favorable ELA construct for VMware, while delivering the most optimal customer solution. In this role, you will be in a team of subject matter experts crossed trained and highly skilled in legal, revenue, deal desk disciplines. DMT members engage with Sales as a single point of contact to support highly negotiated, high risk, unique, or strategic ELA business arrangements from inception of a sales opportunity to booking. The successful DCT member will possess extensive deal desk, revenue recognition, commercial contract, and experience necessary to act as "Deal Champion" when working with Sales. The preferred candidate will also possess strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Act as a "Deal Champion" for opportunities assigned to DMT for the non-Standard workflow; * Act as a key interpreter to the field on matters related to revenue recognition, business terms and commercial strategies related to ELA sales opportunities; * Give clear guidance to sales on metrics, the tools, and timely coaching on deal quality; * Identify and effectively communicate what actions are being taken to improve customer service and process timelines for each deal; * Identify a better path to better customer service; * Empower Sales by providing Training; * Participate in customer communications & negotiations as needed. * Collaborate with other DMT members & Sales to provide the best possible solutions to accomplish VMware goals & objectives while resolving customer issues; * Remove deal process choke points as a single point of contact for sales; * Participate and provide cross training to other DMT members; Required Qualifications: * 5-7 years professional experience, including at least 5 years of experience in one of the following: deal desk, revenue recognition, public accounting, CPA, legal or equivalent years' experience; * Experience and knowledge in working with commercial sales teams in a deal desk, revenue, or legal capacity; * Acting as a key interpreter on issues related to deal structuring; * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence outcomes; * Confidence, good judgment, energy and personality to work in a dynamic environment across all levels of management. and across functions and geographies; * Experience participating in groups that affect large scale processes globally; * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Preferred Qualifications: * MBA, CPA, or J.D from accredited school; * Salesforce experience (SFDC); * SaaS knowledge Vmware, Inc.
