BON SECOURS RICHMOND CLINICAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Under the general direction of the Administrative Director of Care Management BSV, develops, coordinates, and provides leadership and direction to the Care Management Department for the Bon Secours facility assigned. The Care Management Department is a department that is a key contributor to the overall financial, quality, and clinical performance of the hospital.
The Manager of Care Management is expected to be the operations leader for Care Management initiatives, for the individual Bon Secours Virginia facility assigned. Coordinates planning and facilitating compliance with Joint Commission as well as state and federal standards.
1.Management skills, including statistics, statistical process control, and information management systems. Bachelors' degree in related field such as nursing or social work required.
2.Knowledge of medical care terminology and disease processes, healthcare organizational structures, human resources management and medical staff structure, generally acquired by five or more years of progressive experience, including two years in a supervisory/coordinator capacity. A Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Registered Nurse.
3.The employee must have strong interpersonal and communication skills in interactions with staff, patients, families, physicians, health care team colleagues, vendors, and external partners.
4.The employee must have strong organizational skills, problem solving skills, and be able to prioritize and work independently.
5.The employee must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
6.Knowledge of regulatory agency rules and regulations and Joint Commission standards.
7.Experience with planning, developing, evaluating and improving systems such as social services and discharge planning.
8.Must have or complete the Case Management Certification (ACM or CCM) within three years of employment.
