Summary:
The Cardiovascular Noninvasive & Recovery Manager demonstrates excellent customer service performance and supports a work environment in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare, and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.
The Manager is responsible for the overall operation of Noninvasive Cardiology department and the Cardiovascular Recovery unit. The Noninvasive cardiology department consists of EKG, Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring, Cardiac Ultrasound, TEE, Cardioversion, Tilt Table Testing as well as Administrative Support.
The Cardiovascular Recovery unit consists of 30 bed outpatient recovery for Cardiac Cath, Peripheral Angiography, Special Procedures, Electrophysiology and Pacemaker Insertion. The recovery unit has 8 licensed inpatient bed that allow pts to stay in the unit for inpatient procedures. The Manager is also responsible for departmental Quality Assurance, maintaining the Chargemaster for areas of responsibility, regulatory compliance with multiple agencies, and statistical reporting.
He/she will have 24-hour accountability for all activities and staff who work under his/her direction. The Manager will develop, implement and monitor operational and capital budgets for the respective areas. Assists in developing new programs and business activities associated with Center for the Heart.
The Manager develops/implements a supportive environment that energizes staff to enhance the delivery of quality patient care. The Manager coaches staff to demonstrate excellent customer service performance and role models attitudes and actions which are consistent with the standards contained in the Covenant HealthCare System mission/vision/values and leadership expectations and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation. Performs other duties as assigned.
Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to lead staff caring for the following patient groups: Newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Maintains an accurate Chargemaster and coding systems utilizing appropriate CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes.
Produces appropriate Hospital and departmental statistical reports.
Provide supervision for Records Management.

Other information:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Health Services, or other related field.
Preferred: Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.
Clinical background in a hospital setting.
Certification in specialty area.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop and lead teams.
Demonstrated sound judgment in difficult / sensitive situations.
Demonstrated ability to meet Covenant's Leadership Expectations (strategic leadership, character, interpersonal skills, job performance, and results).
Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
