Providence is calling a Manager of Business Operations to Cardiothoracic Surgery at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

In this position, you will:

  • Perform analysis of all charge masters within Cardiovascular Services.

  • Ensure all charge masters reflect current Center for Medicare and Medicaid billing requirements, in addition to CPT updates.

  • Function independently, but in close relationship with the Director of Heart & Vascular Center and is responsible for various job duties that assume timely and accurate reporting and billing. Participate in departmental audit and financial controls, and financial planning

  • Train and orient Cath Lab personnel and assist with physician training for proper coding and billing procedures for the Cath Lab/ Interventional Radiology.

  • Assist Cath Lab Supervisor/Purchaser to identify inventory capture issues that effect inventory levels.

  • Be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing for Cardiovascular Services; and any related questions or concerns directly or indirectly related to patient accounts and departmental billing.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Administration, Business Administration, or other related field OR equivalent education and experience

  • 4 years experience in acute hospital finance

  • Experience with spreadsheets

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Administration, Business Administration, or other related field

  • Experience working with cardiovascular, perioperative, or critical care services

  • Supervisory experience

In this position, you will: * Work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care during surgery. * Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure, anticipate the needs of the surgeon in providing these, and maintain a sterile environment. * Demonstrate appropriate review of patient charts and intervene as necessary to assure charts are complete prior to surgery. * Provide for comfort and safety to the patient during the operation. * Operate all equipment, including the preparation of homeostatic, and blood replacement products and devices. Required qualifications for this position include: * High School diploma or equivalent * Graduation from a Surgical Technology Program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAAHEP) or other program accredited by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist or completion of a Surgical Technician Military Training program * Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) * Operating Room experience for candidates who have graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology Program or have completed other accredited programs by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist or completion of a Surgical Technician Military Training program * Candidates with equivalent other or at least 6 months of on the job clinical training must have minimum 1 year operating room experience scrubbing on surgical procedures * Experience scrubbing independently in at least 3 surgical specialties; e.g. general surgery, orthopedics, urology, cardiac/vascular, ENT, ophalmology, neurosurgery, etc About Providence Alaska Medical Center Providence Health & Services Alaska is among nation's best employers for healthy lifestyles!
