Requires Master's degree in Bioinformatics plus 2 years of

experience as Manager, Bioinformatics Software Quality Assurance

Engineering or Sr. Software Test Engineer. The candidate must have minimum

two (2) years of experience in the following: developing and maintaining test

automation scripts, and framework for testing web applications, instrumentation

software, SQL databases, application programming interfaces (API), and

genetic data analysis applications using tools like Test Studio, coded UI and

custom scripts in C#, Perl, and Python; creating, managing, analyzing, and

documenting test plans, test cases, defects, requirement traceability matrix, test

results, and corrective action using Team Foundation Server (TFS), JIRA,

JAMA, Confluence, and Document Control Systems; analyzing next generation

sequencing data to establish and create data sets that test edge scenarios and

negative scenarios using Next Generation Sequencing tools bwa, samtools,

and IGV in an agile environment; maintaining source code in source control

repositories including TFS and GitHub; and establishing and maintaining

function-based relationships within cross functional groups and reporting

overall test effort.

In pursuit of its goal to manage cancer across all stages of the disease, Guardant Health has launched multiple liquid biopsy-based tests, Guardant360 and GuardantOMNI, for advanced stage cancer patients, which fuel its LUNAR development programs for recurrence and early detection. Since its launch in 2014, Guardant360 has been used by more than 6,000 oncologists, over 50 biopharmaceutical companies and all 27 of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network centers. Position requires Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Medical Device/Diagnostic Engineering and two years of experience as Software QA Engineer Bioinformatics; or Device Engineer. The candidate must have minimum one year of experience in the following: developing In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) instruments from concept to market; Biomedical research and development; managing company's quality management system to conform to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485 and with the United States Food and Drug Administration Quality System Regulation 21 CFR 820; implementing risk management processes and internal audit processes for medical devices development; and testing software applications on Android, Personal Computer and Linux systems. Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
