We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Association & Advocacy Marketing Manager to work with members of the Marketing and Advocacy teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for select Washington D.C. based and flagship conferences and events. Working alongside the Director, this role will also aid strategic planning efforts, guiding and owning select aspects of the association and advocacy portfolio to ensure organizational messaging and promotional goals are being met. This role will work both remote and face-to-face from our D.C based office.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Advocacy and Flagship Events:

  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies for all Washinton D.C and select flagship events.

  • Operate as the point marketer - building marketing strategies, project managing, and executing campaign plans in alignment with the Marketing and Advocacy teams.

  • Develop overall marketing plans, including drafting, writing and proofing copy/content.

  • Build and monitor HubSpot marketing campaigns in coordination with the Digital Engagement team.

  • Assist in the alignment of promotional and marketing message strategies with the Marketing, Digital, and Communication teams, ensuring minimal-to-no overlap in organizational outreach.

  • Translation of complex advocacy efforts into easily understood marketing campaigns with clear calls to action.

  • Communicate, manage, and monitor activities and make improvements based on results, feedback, and market data.

  • Manage and coordinate marketing budgets for each campaign.

  • Collaborate with Strategic Communications, Brand and Creative Services, and Digital Engagement teams to ensure the best member experience.

  • Represent the marketing team as the primary point of contact for all responsibilities assigned to their portfolio. Monitoring and communicating status updates, campaign milestones, and plans related thereto.

  • Staff and represent the marketing team at all major Washington D.C. based events

Association Marketing:

  • Lead marketing efforts for select member engagement and industry relations efforts.

  • Coordinate with the League & Industry Relations team and the Member Engagement & Services team to define and prioritize outreach and marketing campaign goals.

  • Define and maintain channels and strategies to effectively communicate events and promotions.

  • Own all marketing strategies and campaigns to further grow awareness of the association.

Data Analysis:

  • Continuously analyze market, member, persona, organization, and event attendee data gathered from various sources and interpret the results to provide actionable insights for all assigned association and advocacy marketing campaigns.

Relationship Building:

  • Develop, maintain, and grow team relationships across America's Credit Unions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or equivalent.

  • Six plus (6+) years' experience in marketing strategy and execution, preferably for a non-profit, membership, or association-based organization.

  • Two plus (2+) years experience owning and leading event marketing efforts, including but not limited to developing marketing and communications strategies, and implementing successful plans and tools to manage, measure and report progress

  • Passionate about advancing the credit union movement/industry and a commitment to meeting the needs of our members.

  • Proficient understanding of HubSpot's suite of tools or similar tool

  • Professional team player, able to build meaningful relationships and work collaboratively.

  • Proven ability translating organizational goals into actionable marketing campaigns.

  • Intermediate level of data assessment with experience collecting, interpreting, and analyzing marketing data to produce actionable insights that translate to more effective campaigns.

  • Clear and effective communicator.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Flexibility to handle multiple priorities.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
