We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This role serves as the team leader for the investment operations team within the Asset Management Group (AMG) which is responsible for the investment-related activities of company assets including the Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plans, Nuclear Decommissioning Trusts, Voluntary Employees Beneficiary Association (VEBA), Rabbi and Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) trusts. Assets under management total approximately $24 billion.
Responsibilities include:
Oversight and execution of efficient operations for the entirety of Dominion's portfolio including liquidity monitoring to honor capital activity, benefit payments, and expenses, the timely and accurate processing of cash movements, trust reconciliations, detailed and accurate reporting and analysis, and compliance with all policies and procedures
Directly manages team of investment operations professionals providing support, guidance, training and professional coaching based on employee needs
Works closely with the VP of Asset Management to provide management and decision- making support
Collaborates and establishes strong, effective working relationships internally with AMG team members and various groups at Dominion including accounting, contracted assets, legal, cash management, procurement and HR/Benefits
Consistently looks for ways to improve operational processes and procedures to increase accuracy and timeliness; directs, designs, and implements these improvements to achieve efficiencies
Interacts extensively with external stakeholders including trustees, banks, administrators, insurance providers, investment managers, tax advisors, auditors and actuaries
Manages and provides oversight of custodian bank relationships including service level monitoring and accuracy of fees; responsible for periodic review of services
Performs ongoing review of vendor relationships including contract obligations and adherence, fee agreements, and vendor performance including manager fee reconciliations
Maintains general knowledge of all trusts within portfolio; may complete trust reconciliations, as needed
Completes operational due diligence for new and existing investment managers
Monitors industry best practices and assess new technology systems
Participates and presents in Asset Management Committee meetings, as needed
Completes review of internal and external facing documentation
Leads and completes complex ad hoc projects
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
10+ years of experience in investment, banking or middle/back-office operations, public accounting and/or finance Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year of experience.
Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
Knowledge of various asset classes in a diversified portfolio, investment operations, investment processes and performance calculations
Prior management experience required
Capable of working in a dynamic environment, multi-tasking, dealing with uncertainty and adapting to rapid change
Experience managing asset management operations within a corporate pension plan
Strong leadership and communications skills that allow for effective communication (including Executive level management), the ability to lead projects and host meetings
Keen planning, organizing and negotiating skills
Solutions oriented and high level of attention to detail
Ability to direct and challenge third party service providers
Ability to delegate and train individuals
Broad knowledge of trust accounting practices, procedures, ERISA, DOL, IRS, SEC, FASB, NRC, and FERC reporting and investment related regulatory requirements
Experience with Bloomberg, Caissa (or other performance management system), Burgiss, and/or Bank of New York Mellon's Nexen portal is a plus
Education Requirements
Bachelor's and Master's degree required.
Preferred disciplines; Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
