Job Description:

Responsible for providing strategic direction and management oversight to District

departments and functions as well as ensuring implementation of District goals, policies andachievement of performance expectations

This is a professional classification responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of programs within a specific District department; supervising multiple

assigned functions and significant resources; responsible for program outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The following are intended to describe core work functions of this classification. While the level and broad nature of essential duties may not change, specific work tasks will vary over time depending on the District's needs.

  • In-person attendance is an essential function of this classification.

● Develops, implements, and evaluates departmental policies, procedures, strategies

and goals maintains, updates, and ensures procedural compliance for programs;

● Provides advice in area of expertise to Executive Director, District officials, Boards, and

management teams; and gives related presentations;

● Co-plans, implements and manages a systematic/comprehensive community relations

and marketing program for the District.

● Works collaboratively with all colleagues/departments throughout Communication

Services and districtwide to develop content, collateral, and special event elements;

● Conceptualizes and designs high-quality print, display, digital and video work that

aligns with event and project goals;

● Produces and edits promotional videos, and photo shoots to help create collateral for

special projects and events;

● Creates workflows for various projects detailing the logistics for assigned events;

● Serves as a media liaison by assisting Executive Director, and District departments and

schools in handling all communications.

● Maintains the District's website, provides guidance and assistance for school/teacher

websites, and communicates using the District's social media platform. Plan and

implement a variety of parent/community outreach efforts and coordinate events.

● Develops a comprehensive marketing plan at the District and Site level to create brand

recognition, grow relationships, increase student enrollment, and expand resources.

● Oversees the ongoing communication with various community groups.

● Conducts recognition programs for employees and students.

● Plans and conducts District and community surveys to assess overall

parent/community/employee satisfaction with the District.

● Expands strategic partnerships, sponsorships, advertising, and fundraising events to

increase District revenue by soliciting, securing, and managing donations, contributions,

grants, and solicitations from government, non-profits, and private donors to support

and maintain District initiatives.

● Provides administrative support to District leadership;

● Facilitates, leads, and/or participates in meetings, proceedings, and committees;

represents assigned department and District at meetings and conferences; and serves

as a liaison between departments, external organizations, the general public, and other

agencies;

● Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations for cost effective improvements in

departmental operations; and designs, administers, and evaluates departmental

programs and services;

● Participates in the preparation of departmental budgets, financial reports, and

operational and/other budgets; and monitors revenues and expenditures;

● Assists in the creation of project plans and timelines for assigned events;

● Works with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality; and,

● Performs related work as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in education administration, educational leadership, public administration or field directly related to assignment and four years of experience; or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

● Valid Arizona Class D Driver's License.

● Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC).
