  • Proven ability creating and leading teams of varying levels of expertise in the A/R RCM space.

  • Partner with GM, sales and account management teams as well as client implementation teams to ensure clear alignment to project forecasting and operational success.

  • Demonstrated experience in creating new teams from inception through growth and into sustainment.

  • Ability to work and communicate with external clients (C-Suite Level and Management) to effectively impact decision making on implementing our solutions and utilizing them to the fullest possible extent.

  • Ability to engage, influence and collaborate effectively with a variety of audiences, including senior-level leadership (internal and external) and front line associates.

We'd love to see:

  • BS or BA in a healthcare or business administration discipline preferred. 6+ years of healthcare revenue cycle/business office experience and 5+ years of team leadership experience in healthcare insurance reimbursements.

  • Expertise with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers and related medical/insurance billing regulations.

  • Understanding of HIT systems like EPIC, Paragon, Cirius, Zirmed or other billing systems.

  • Experience establishing and directing a team in a start-up, turnaround and/or high growth environment.

  • Demonstrated team management skills and experience, with the ability to mentor and train others.

  • Must be a critical thinker and problem solver; able to anticipate business needs and lead process improvement.

  • Ability to influence in a matrix environment with strong communication, organization, customer service, and relationship-based collaboration skills.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Build a new AR Recovery operations team in TU's Greenwood Village office by acquiring exceptional talent, onboarding and training the new workforce, establishing operating principles and establishing operational excellence inclusive of performance management, development, recognition, and successful client outcomes.

  • Establish and refine internal metrics to drive business performance and ensure revenue is attained.

  • Develop, integrate and guide the tactical activities of the business plans and strategies for the AR Recovery business line in the Colorado office to deliver aligned growth plans that enable the shifting of resources from California to Colorado.

  • Institute workflow processes that enable efficient and predictable delivery of incoming client projects.

  • Set and track the work priorities for the Colorado-based A/R team in alignment with broader A/R business delivery plan.

  • Advance the business, operational and cultural integration of a recently acquired business into the broader TU Healthcare enterprise leveraging a matrix environment to positively resource and enable the business unit.

  • Create a high performing team that understands their clients through relationships and analysis.

  • Leads, inspires and develops new teams by establishing a positive work culture focused on teamwork, accountability, problem-solving, collaboration and inclusion.

Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services and client services. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for all project documentation through the lifecycle of the project. Documents including but not limited to: project intake documentation, requirements definition, project scope, project success criteria, scope approval, project plans, resource plans, and project cost estimates. * Responsible for resource allocation, resource time reporting, management and availability reporting. * Ensures that all project requests are aligned with the Company's goals and strategic plan. * Resolves ambiguities in project requirements and gains consensus from project team members. * Coordinates project efforts and activities to achieve agreed timelines and budgets. * Works closely with technical team and PMO manager to best align resources with business needs. * Understands and coordinates activities with and between multiple internal departments within the company, including HR, Finance, Business development, Communications and others. * Produces accurate and complete project documentation including but not limited to: Requirements definition, scope documents, statements of work, project schedules, communication plan, staffing plans and requests, status reports, issue logs, test plans and test plan results, and project budgets. * Job responsibilities include but not limited to: * Project Planning * Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management * Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project * Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project * Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities * Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required * Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion * Resource Planning * In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff with appropriate skills for the project activities * Manage project staff according to the established policies and practices of the organization * Implementation * the project according to the project plan * Develop forms and records to document project activities * Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured * Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project * Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project * Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards * Control the project * Monitor, approve and report all budgeted project expenditures * Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly) * Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures * Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date * Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements * Evaluate the project * Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality * Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase * Communicating status, issues and risks to projects stakeholders * Provide leadership to cross-functional project teams and maintain project documentation. * Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources. * Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources. * Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project. * Coordinates recruitment, contracting and/or assignment of project personnel. * Assigns duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project personnel. * Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget. * Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation. * Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues. * Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. * Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications, manages and implements change control processes. * Monitors project results against technical specifications. * Develops quality assurance test plans. * Directs quality assurance testing. * Leads design and review sessions with technical and business staffs. * Reviews and assess vendors' proposals. * Manages multiple projects using formal project planning techniques, including development of budgets to successfully support each project successfully. * Directs the activities of on-site and off-site consultants. * Adheres to all company policies and procedures. * Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone's responsibility. Minimum Qualifications: Education/Licensing/Certification: * High school diploma or GED required. * Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in computer science or a related field. * PMP certification is preferred. Experience: * 8+ years experience in project management, requirements definition and/or deployment of business requirements for information systems including demonstrated leadership skills. * 5+ Years in Information Technology efforts, such as Data Center consolidation, Network and Storage deployments, telephony, IT application development, or IT integration projects. * Healthcare project experience is a plus. Knowledge and Skills: * Advanced knowledge of building system solutions or business applications. * Knowledgeable in multiple project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall * Highly knowledgeable of funding proposals. * Very strong writing, negotiation and presentation skills. * Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value. * Experience with intra-department projects as well as projects with sponsors external to IT is required. * Extensive knowledge of the methods and techniques of information technology, including systems analysis and design, telecommunications, computer operations and programming and the use and limitations of all types of computer equipment. * Knowledge of .Net software development tools. * Extensive knowledge of cost and budgetary controls procedures. * Demonstrated skill in the successful completion of multiple, simultaneous and rapidly emergent tasks. * Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies. * Ability to plan for IT projects, including planning for cost, personnel and equipment needs. * Ability to analyze operations and organize their parts into a logical system. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with executive management, business units, vendors, suppliers and customers, and IS team. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
