Job Description Details
The Manager, Applications Development for SAP Merchandising will be responsible for leading the global implementation of SAP S/4 Retail for Qurate Retail Group (QRG). This role will be responsible for implementing on and contributing to the strategic direction for the SAP Technology roadmap. This role will require partnering with leaders in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Internal Audit, and other SAP teams to create and deliver an SAP program that migrates QRG to the SAP S/4 HANA platform.
The scope for SAP Implementation will cover Global Qurate Retail Group (all QVC markets, HSNi, and Zulily brands). We are expecting this Leader to help build and expand our SAP practice. This Leader will also be responsible for overseeing the System Integrator involved with the SAP implementation effort. Will be responsible for supporting the budget process and submission into the IT Capital portfolio for the Merchandising component of the SAP Roadmap.
Manages a single team of 8-10 technical contributors providing maintenance and operational support and/or the development and implementation of new systems and technologies that are relatively straightforward in nature, such as those supporting a single process or function and relatively few technology platforms.
Provides the technical oversight and leadership necessary to accomplish work including hands-on configuration of SAP.
Provides input to financial and people resource plans for the area. Ensures resources are in place and operating effectively within the technical discipline.
Develops work plan and priorities for their area, based on objectives received.
Makes hiring recommendations.
Responsible for all performance related activities, including performance reviews. Provides input to compensation decisions.
Develops portfolio roadmaps to convey the current and future state vision and status of their portfolios.
Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or equivalent is required; Master's Degree is preferred.
15+ years of SAP implementation and support experience
Minimum of 7 years of practical Team Lead/Manager experience implementing and supporting SAP applications.
Minimum experience of 5 large scale full life cycle SAP implementations. One of those experiences should be in a Leadership capacity.
Broad working knowledge in SAP is required. Experience in the SAP S/4 HANA platform is required.
Experience in SAP S/4 Merchandising is required.
Experience with operating in a SOx and IT General Computing Control (GCC) environment is strongly preferred.
Experience with IS-Retail and Materials Manager (MM)
Experience with both On Prem and Cloud implementations is strongly preferred.
Experience in leading a successful SAP implementation through the project lifecycle is required.
Deep working knowledge of Merchandising Retail industry business processes is strongly preferred.
Deep expertise in vendor management and experience with managing System integrators is required.
Experience in Agile Methodology is strongly preferred.
