Position Summary:

The Nurse Manager has oversight of PACU, ACC, and Endoscopy. The Nurse Manager has the direct-line responsibilityfor day to day operations and overall responsibility for the nursingdepartment, insuring that employees have effective management, goodcommunication and appropriate discipline.

The Nurse Manager is responsible on a 24-hour basis for the coordinationof patient care, administrative and nursing activities. The Nurse Manager is also responsible on a 24hours basis for the quality of nursing care provided to patient. The Nurse Manager is responsible for theimplementation and evaluation of all nursing care and related activities.

Jobmay include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the areasupervisor. Employee must have the samelicensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements ofthe discipline of the student. Directsupervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the studentthroughout the shift.

Position Requirements:


  • Current license as a registered Nurse to practice in the State of South Carolina.
  • BLS Healthcare provider on hire (American Heart Association


  • Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing


  • Recent experience in Perioperative Nursing, with at least two years of experience in a nursing leadership position preferred.

  • Performs in accordance with delineated job responsibilities and satisfactorily completes a yearly evaluation based on these responsibilities.

  • Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient/internal & external customer

Special qualifications:

Effective communication skills; both orally and written, with flexible interpersonal skills to facilitate the exchange of information within all levels of the organization. Ability to effectively read, write and speak fluent English.

Computer skills needed. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong organizational and problem solving skills. Creative and innovative skills in personnel management and ability to facilitate growth and development of department and staff.

Degree of Supervision Required:

Involves general guidance and direction by Department Director. The employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

CHARLESTON SC Job Summary: In association with the CQO, CEO of Roper St. Francis Physician Partners (RSFPP), and the CMO of RSFPP is responsible for the planning and execution of quality functions for RSFPP, including the support of continuous excellence projects in ambulatory care and adherence to quality reporting required by government and commercial entities. Works closely with IT, physician systems to develop and ensure appropriate use of computer/data systems for clinical decision support. Provides clinical leadership and staff supervision for the Clinically Integrated Network's Care Management Group, which is a community based care management program providing services to defined populations to promote the achievement of optimal clinical and resource outcomes. Responsible for leadership of daily operations, clinical program support, and outcomes management of a care delivery continuum designed to improve the health and satisfaction of patients with chronic conditions and complex diagnoses, coordinate and facilitate access to appropriate health services; education patient to help them manage their health care needs; facilitate the effective and efficient use of health resources and to support the Clinically Integrated Network of physician practices and other contracted clients as it relates to population health management. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Master's degree in nursing or related field or Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program accredited by an appropriate agency recognized by the South Carolina State Board of Medical Examiners (SCSBME). Or of an accredited A.C.P.E. College of Pharmacy; Pharm. D. Degree, Business (MBA) or other degree related to process improvement (for example, industrial engineering) preferred. Project management certification preferred. Experience: Case Management /utilization management, population health management, experience strongly preferred. Five years' experience in healthcare or process improvement.
