This position is for an experienced Strategic Business Analysis, Planning and Support professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Leads collection of internal and external business intelligence data to conduct complex data processes, analysis and forecast models. The position will lead our platform analytics and sales analytics capabilities to better understand key growth drivers and risks that impact our aftermarket business. The position will be primarily responsible for analyzing and forecasting but also presenting key findings to management in a clear and concise manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for platform analytics and sales analytics capabilities in central Aftermarket, which is core to managing strategic planning, forecast modeling, development and execution

  • Manages future state of platform analytics and sales analytics capabilities, and affiliated reporting systems, enhance existing intelligence and tracking of key segment growth

  • Manages platform lifecycle analysis and evaluation of the various aftermarket buying behaviors across Collins product and services to forecast opportunities within underlying strategic business units (SBUs)

  • Conducts complex forecast modeling to evaluate various scenarios associated with the Collins Aftermarket business and to better understand growth and risk impacts associated with internal planning

  • Aggregates sales plan details, compares forecast-to-actuals and performs deep-dive analysis to improve business intelligence and forecasts associated with the long-range planning and review process

  • Finalizes draft reports that are used in consultation with product and service segment leaders regarding market and business intelligence data to provide recommendations and develop strategies

  • Performs ad hoc requests from management and executive leadership on various aircraft platform or sales performance to understand Aftermarket impacts

  • Partner with strategic business units (SBUs) on future analytics projects and forecasting opportunities with internal and external data sets

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience in Finance, Data Analytics or Marketing;or an Advanced Degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience in Finance, Data Analytics or Marketing

  • Skillset in the use of analytical and digital tools for data acquisition, manipulating, analysis, forecasting and reporting with large data sets

  • Analytical mindset and problem solving skills, ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels

  • Research skills utilizing both public information sources and commissioned reports to form data backed business perspectives

  • Business acumen to approach business issues from multiple functional and or operational perspectives

  • Problem solving ability to identify innovative solutions to achieve strategic objectives

  • Executive level interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills, ability to effectively present ideas to senior leadership and influence key decision makers

  • Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels

  • Ability to work under pressure, handle ambiguity and change

  • Bias for action with ability to produce results

  • Strong teamwork, collaboration skills

  • Aerospace experience highly preferred

Analytical software and digital tools (highly preferred):

  • SQL, Alteryx, Teradata, PowerBI, R, Tableau/ Qlik

  • Business Warehouse/Business Objects/WEBi/BeX

  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access
