This position resides within Credit Administration and supports, with two other Administrative Assistants, all activities within Credit Administration which ultimately reports to the Chief Credit Officer.

Position will directly support the operational administration functions of the Chief Credit Officer, manage up to two Administrative Assistants and provide department support as necessary. Possesses intellectual curiosity to develop a strong command of SVB's business which will allow him/her to use judgment and experience to make independent decisions. Coordinates the functions across a team, including this position, of three administrative positions ensuring clear delineation of duties, back up coverage and bench strength. A strong sense of urgency, the ability to think beyond the initial set of facts or issues, and a strong orientation towards self-reliance and resourcefulness will distinguish the best candidates. Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative is needed in resolving problems and making recommendations. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Normally does not receive work instructions, may determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Overtime may be required.

May include, but not limited to the following essential functions:

  • Manages two Administrative Assistants.

  • Interfaces with other senior executives and administrative staff in support of Chief Credit Officer

  • Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities for all members of the department.

  • Performs desktop publishing; creating and developing visual presentations

  • Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system. Retrieves information from files when needed.

  • Manages committee scheduling, preparation materials and follow up items.

  • Provides follow up communication in the form of written responses or phone/e-mail when necessary.

  • Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff.

  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Acts as project manager for special projects.

  • Oversee the team's delivery of: designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc

Requirements:

  • 8 or more years of related experience as an administrative professional

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Experience in the financial services; bank; or other related business
